No, you misread it completely for some weird reason. Internet memes, words that aren't part of the english language, and acting like a moron are some of the easiest, least original, and least funny forms of comedy.

Again, you completely misread that. I have no problem with people who "get upset"; it depends on the gravity. I meant getting rustled off to the point that he/she just screams and throws shit and breaking three of my controllers *cough*.

Your second point is also wrong, though I guess I wasn't clear enough on that. I've got nothing wrong with people who "don't mind losing", I meant the cocky-booty bastard who actually sucks horribly, and when that's established, they keep the cocky attitude. A cocky attitude is natural at times, so that's forgiven, but still being cocky after getting your booty handed to you just looks like you're in denial.

My friends and I compete all the time, my brother and I used to before he got bored of everything except shooting your face off on XBox Live, my dad and I would always play each other in Melee and even the original Smash Bros, and I'm pretty much just competitive overall. Why? Because it's fun. Sometimes I do get really upset, but that's because the games like to screw with my mind occasionally.

...I hate gamers who can't take a loss or can't take being worse than their teammate, so they blame it on something really stupid that was really their fault in the first place. Just let it go, people.

But, in alliance with the first thing I said, I despise people who take games waaay too seriously and don't have fun with it at all. What's the point of playing if you don't enjoy it? Pheh. My brother can be like that, screw him.

And "gamer" sounds just as stupid. How often do you need to use that word? I never have to, and it isn't often that I say something that could be substituted with "gamer." I have no reason to call myself a movier for watching a lot of movies.

If someone asks me what I like to do in my free time, I'll say that I liked to play video games. I don't say I'm a gamer because that makes me sound stupid, and it's easy to get away from saying it.

I guess there are some people in the world who just don't care how stupid they sound, then.

Even people who don't really use the internet say "I'm gaming." when they're playing a video game. Why can't the person who says that they're gaming be known as a gamer?

and we don't use movie-er because it sounds a lot dumber than gamer, at least to me.
