Some DOS games my uncle gave me => N64 => GBC => PS2 => Wii => PSP => DS => WiiU

I can't remember when I got my computer but I've had it for a good while, my steam account is from 2006 so probably some time before that.

The first game I remember beating is Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure. I also played a lot of Keen but never finished one, I think a lot of them were just trials or something.

I used to be super big into Star Wars so my early PC gayman was Star Wars games and some RTSs and FPSs. My stepdad was into FPSs so he introduced me to Half Life and that sort of thing.

I guess my progression was

Nintendo => PS2 => Oh hey remember Nintendo that was pretty tight

With underlying PC most of the time

My next addition will probably be a PS3 or a 3DS

GBC > Fatbox > 360 > DS > PC > PC + PS3 + 360

I switched to idorthood when I built my PC almost two years ago. I had been playing PC games ever since '99 or something but that's when I actually got into it.

I didn't really play that many games as a kid, I got like 2-3 random games a year and played those. Unlike for most people on this forum, Nintendo wasn't a part of my childhood, save for Pokemon. I've only seen gaming as a hobby for the past few years, really.

Pokemon Blue > Pokemon Crystal > JSRF > Halo > Halo 2 > RuneScape > Halo 3 (yes, all three) > Guitar Hero > WoW > TF2 > this is where my PC gaming starts and it gets hard to pick a single favorite

Gameboy Color > N64 > Gameboy Advance > PS2 > Gamecube > DS > Wii > PS3 > 3DS

Mario Party 2 > Cockfighting Society Silver > Final Fantasy X > DDR > Zelda Twilight Princess > Smash Bros Brawl > Skyrim

Mario Party was the first game I ever played, while Cockfighting Society was the first I ever owned and completed. Cockfighting Society remains my favorite game series today.

Final Fantasy X was my first RPG, and is probably my favorite single game of all time. Most of what I play is RPGs, so this defined my gaming life for the next 10 years. Around this time I also picked up DDR, cementing my love of rhythm games.

Years later I picked up a Wii along with Zelda and Brawl. This was the first console + games I saved up for and bought with my own cheddar, so they felt special. I now buy all my games myself.

Skyrim I only bought recently (about 6 months ago), but it definitely blew the doors open. It's huge, and seeing that giant world that I more or less could bend to my whim was phenomenal. I still like JRPGs, to be sure, but now WRPGs have this huge place in my heart.

Still a Nintendork at heart, though.

SNES and Genesis(not mine, but I played them a lot, both were owned by the same person) -> N64 -> Wii -> Wii U

Super Mario All Stars -> Sonic 2 -> Mario 64 -> OoT -> Smash Bros (Again, not mine, but frequently loaned from the DVD rental place) -> SSB Brawl (I know it's a sequel, but that game was amazing) -> Pikmin 2 -> Nothing for Wii U just yet.

From what everyone says, I missed out a lot by skipping the gamecube era.

GBA -> DS Lite -> 3DS

Game & Watch... 4 I think? -> Super Mario Bros 3 -> Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon Pokemon-> Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (the Mario RPGs are so different they might as well be entirely new IPs) -> Streetpass Plaza -> Kid Icarus: Uprising

I have a lot of handheld games, but these are the ones that stood out. I couldn't pick a single Pokemon game.

PC -> Better PC -> Better PC -> Crappy laptop

Putt-Putt -> Star Wars Battlefront -> Cave Story -> Minecraft

None of these computers are technically mine, hence advancing from a decent PC to a 'Laptop'.

Genesis + NES -> PS1 -> Game Boy -> N64 -> PS2 -> Gamecube -> GBA -> DS -> Wii -> 360 -> 360 again (daisies red ring) -> 3DS

Important games in my life, huh? uuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Genesis Fighting Game Edition, I'm being specific because there were like 20 Power Ranger games with the same name) -> Twisted Metal 2 -> Pokemans -> KOIBY TILT N TUMBLE -> Kirby 64 and Superman 64 (only slightly facetious) -> Spyro 2 and Ripto's Rage,Tekken 3 -> The Oracle games -> Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Tales of Symphonia, a shit ton more gamecube games -> Mega man Battle Network and KOIBY NIGHTMARE IN DREAMLAND -> The Matrix Reloaded and FFX -> Animal Crossing Wild World, uh Pokemon again? DS games bleh -> Fire Emblem: The Ike Chronicles, SSBB -> Bayonetta -> Animal Crossing New Leaf

I own a METRIC FUCKTON of video games so it's hard to determine individual pieces that impacted my life significantly. I think those that I mentioned are the major ones though.

(I own a lot of games, just to reiterate)

N64>Gamecube>Wii> PC

Diddy Kong Racing is probably the first game I remember playing tons of. Hexen, Ocarina of Time/ Majora's Mask. on the gamecube my first game was Smash Brothers, followed by Wind Waker, RE4, Sonic Adventure 2. On the Wii, I honestly don't have many favorites. Donkey Kong Country Returns is pretty rad.

On the PC of course I played Half Life 2, KOTOR 2, Mass Effect, Alpha Protocol, Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Monkey Island, The Walking Dead, booty Creed, GTA IV.

New Vegas will probably go down as my favorite game of all time.

Nintendo 64 + Super Nintendo > Gamecube > Playstation 2 > Computer > Wii > Computer > Playstation 3 > COMPUTER

On the Nintendo 64, I played Majora's Mask, Jet Force Gemini, Mario Kart, Starfox, and Ogre Battle 64 a lot. And not once did I ever beat any of them until much later.

On the Super Nintendo, I played Aladdin, The Lion King, and Goof Troop. I don't know why, since they were too hard for me to play.

On the Gamecube, I played the Sonic games, some of Starfox Adventures, the first few levels of Pikmin, the first hour of Luigi's Mansion, The Falsebound Kingdom, and Lost Kingdoms. I spent a lot of my free time playing Sonic Heroes and The Falsebound Kingdom.

Too many Playstation 2 games to count.

Computer had emulators on it. RTSs and Total War as well. I was addicted to WoW for maybe 2 years. Most importantly it has Touhou and Morrowind.

The Wii was okay, what with Brawl and Twilight Princess, but I beat both of those and we only use it for watching Hulu now.

My Playstation 3 was great, until it broke. I played New Vegas on it (which was awesome), and I played Final Fantasy XIII on it (which provided my family with something to prop the TV up with).

Got the Genesis in 1999 after I came across some shitty Punch Out knockoff in a backpack I got at a garage sale. Then picked up a Game Boy Color not long afterwards, both on eBay. After that I believe our family got a PS2 in 2003 or so. GBA SP somewhere after that, then a DS. Eventually got a Gamecube (well after the Wii was already underway, not sure why), then a PS3 and soon after a Wii. Next I got a Vita, then an Xbox 360 I sold not even six months later because fuck the Xbox 360, and just yesterday a 3DS. Had various PC's over that entire time, though I finally bought my own instead of just using the family one in late 2011.

First game I remember playing was Wacky Wheels, which was a Mario Kart type game for DOS. I remember some of the first games I got for various consoles, too. The genesis we got only had one good game, that being Sonic 2. Could never get past Chemical Plant as a kid. Played Pokemon Red all the time on the GBC, as well as Link's Awakening DX. First games I had on the PS2 were War of the Monsters and War of the Roses (that yugioh game, was alright.) I can't really tell what games in particular were "important" to me but I spent most of my childhood playing Sonic 2, Dragonball Z Budokai 2 and 3, San Andreas, some WWE titles (namely Shut Your Mouth and Smackdown vs Raw 2006), and various Pokemon titles. I don't know, my childhood gaming experience has just been kind of a total blur.

I'd assume you mean the Game Gear, unless it was huge as fuck in which case I guess it'd be a Sega Nomad (basically a portable Genesis.)

To be fair, the Game Gear was also huge as fuck. A better test would be the number of buttons.

Just on account of rarity, though, I'm guessing it wasn't a Nomad.

It was a portable version of the Genesis that they released to be their handheld when the Saturn came out.

Think Game Gear (portable Master System) but a generation later.

Just as battery hungry. So battery hungry that it never really took off, not even as much as the Game Gear did.
