In Roleplays I am that one boss. 8===D

I am that one boss that rips the ceiling down with you on it, peppers you with walls of flame, and oftentimes goes invisible to fool opponents with illusory copies, while I speed about unnoticed, sending will-o-wisp into your face...

All the while keeping you engaged enough to care XD ... That is not one easy feat to do actually.

I miss those days where I used to rip Roleplays up with a plot :3 Was so beautiful to send people on a trip.

Vanille's Eidolon in FF XIII is that boss right now.

the Red and Black demons in Soul Reaver 2. It doesn't help that most of their attacks are just about undodgeable.

I haven't tried it myself but I heard you can time your jump so you dodge that long shadow spike they do, land on top of it and then just shoot the hell out of them with your guns.

The Capra Demon in Dark Souls. Good God, that one boss took me forever to get past. Then when I did beat him, I did it without taking a single hit. I still need to beat that game.

Not sure if you can call it a boss, but the Plesioth from the Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate (Demo) is one from my more recent gaming experiences. It certainly doesn't help they only give you 20 minutes to beat it either.

King K. Rool from Donkey Kong Country.

He's not as hard to me now, but DANG it was hard trying to figure out how to avoid his attacks when I was a kid, especially the last part.

Speaking of Donkey Kong, fighting Dogadon as Chunky in DK 64 was an incredibly hard battle as a kid, it was hard to whittle him down before the platform sunk into the lava.

I usually (always) hit the Elite Four underlevelled, so the various champions have hassled me in the past. The award goes to Lucien in Diamond, due to my team being a combination of being underlevelled and poorly planned.

Skeldritch in Spirit Tracks was annoying because my DS was losing sensitivity in its touch screen.

If minibosses count then Dark Link in Ocarina of Time. Made worse by the fact that he was in the Water Temple, one of mankind's most heinous of crimes.

He was terribly hard on the Gameboy version as well. To this day, I still have not beaten him.

Same here.

There must be some trick to make it easier to beat this sonofabitch - but for the life of me I haven't been able to figure it out any time I've played through the game.

It just comes down to being lucky enough with jumps to avoid contact with him when he closes in - otherwise I just end up dying over and over.

Personally I find running from the SA-X worse. And the proper fight against it.
