Have any of you played Wild Arms 2? It's one of my favorites. I've never bothered playing the first one though. Also, the Legend of Legaia games are pretty good.

The word "grand" in the thread title should be changed to "grind." Hue hue, I'm so punny.

Anyone ever play Legend of Dragoon?

So I guess that Django from the Boktai games actually is one of those sunbros from dark souls... makes total sense in hindsight since he praises the sun all the time...

I'd really like to play Super Mario RPG mainly because I don't understand what the appeal is behind it, and I'd like to find out. And before anyone starts putting poison in my hot chocolate or calling an exorcist to take the fun-hating demon out of me, I'm NOT saying that I think it's a bad game. I just don't understand what sets it apart as such a fantastic game from what I've seen of it, and I'd like to find out. Seriously, I'm sure everyone's right and it's a great game, I'm just not sure why AT THE MOMENT.

I like it for how light-hearted it is. Sure, there are RPGs out there that have funny moments, but SMRPG is amusing all the way through. It's a breath of fresh air when most RPGs strive to be the most serious thing ever.

I've really always liked playing through Mario RPGs because they're kooky and lighthearted. They're kinda like playing through one of those Saturday morning cartoons that have a slow developing story in the background, but mostly jokes. I'm not sure though about Super Mario RPG because I've never played myself, but I would imagine it is probably written in a similar style.

Lost Odyssey is probably my favorite.

Bought a JRPG on my kindle called Symphony of Eternity and it's fun so far. It uses a skill system called tablets so it's kind of like FF X-2 except after you learn a skill you can use it regardless of what tablet you have equipped.

Also: FF X-2 was okay

It takes the semi-decent ending of X and fucks it up the booty by existing is why I hate it.

FFX-2 gave some closure. The story was otherwise mediocre at best. The gameplay was all sorts of enjoyable though.

I didn't see anywhere that needed closure in the form of a never-foreshadowed giant magic religious robot.
