I have never played a MGS game. I have played (and own) the NES Metal Gear though, and I picked up a copy of MGS3 last month on the cheap, but my hands are full getting all them social links in Persona 3.

I only ever played Ghost Babel for the GBC

I played 4 and loved it.
Though I got that glitch where the games crashes after Sniper Wolf.
I was pretty dang dong diddly rustled because I went through the game up to that point without being detected/killing anybody.

Metal Gear is probably my favourite series ever. Got MGR pre-ordered and am looking forward to what Kojima does with Ground Zeroes(Phantom Pain?).

I love Metal Gear. I've not gotten to play the 4th one because of no PS3, but I plan on playing it soon. My favorite one would have to be the 3rd one, with the 2nd one as a close second. Also, is the Phantom Pain really supposed to be a MGS title? I hadn't heard that, but I did see the PP trailer and thought the character looked a bit like Snake.

Like how to be efficient with the sneaking suit and stuff.

When you capture enemy soldiers and recruit them, check to see if they have the "Channeler" skill. What that does is, when you check the map, it shows items as little green dots. This is important for finding design documents.

And you'll be getting the game when it finally comes out in 2015.
Have they even set a release date for it yet? D­amn thing has been pushed back way too much.

Is it just me or is the VITA version of the MGS Collection a bit buggy?
I kept having clipping issues and bugs when climbing ropes.
Snake would only go one way, and do it automatically, and wouldn't go in any other direction, it kept screwing me over when trying to get the gator cap.

And when you can recruit someone with those skills?

And Raiden is not gay, metrosexual at most. Solid Snake is probably gay.

Other Friend: big boss loved the boss... in a sick twisted sorta way. solid wanted to shag like... all the female characters... there is a sequence in MGS4 where snake purposely drops a smoke to look up naomi's skirt. Snake is Bi at best. Ocelot is plausible.

Me: Except Liquid didn't really take over Ocelots mind. He did at first, but after a while it stopped, but Ocelot hatched a plan to brainwash himself into thinking he was Liquid so he would continue with his evil deeds so Snake would stop him and the patriots because that's what Big Boss would want.
GAY LOVE STORY. IT'S A THING. You can be masculine and gay. I mean, Big Boss was totally either gay or bi, as he didn't love Eva, he respected her though. He loved Boss in a mother/son mentor way. It was NEVER sexual.
Far-away Friend: this needs a documentary and a novelized interpretation.
Me: Or it could be a spin-off from the Metal Gear series, where you play as a Japanese detective piecing all the clues together. The final boss is a series of puzzles and Metal Gear trivia controlled by Kojima himself.

I recruited Hideo Kojima and maxed out the psyche of one of my soldiers in Peace Walker.

Nice. Have you been upgrading the Analyzer tool? It'll help you with choosing which knocked-out soldier is the best choice for the base.

The Analyzer is Level 3, so far.

Also, I maxed out both the life and psyche of another soldier. What sucks however, is that he has the Decoy skill. Yeah, sure, the fact that you have increased psyche and defense when being targeted is good, but being easier to target...
