I also hear tell that there's a different 'optimal setting' for each game, for whatever reason, so you have to adjust it constantly anyway. Sounds a bit annoying.

I am still sorta excitied about this though. Gonna keep a close eye on it's progress and reviews though.

I'm a tech geek, and nintendo's portable systems have yet to let me down yet, unlike some other systems.
So I'll be getting it at launch more than likely.

I will be waiting several years for them to include something that should have been there in the first place.

No, the 3ds has plenty of games that make me want to buy it, and I think they will probably make more games for it.

Im saying the first model will have some kind of major flaw they wont admit to, that will be probably fixed in the second version.

Have any previous examples?
All they did with the ds to ds lite was make it slightly smaller and brighter and a lot more fragile.
and then they made it bigger again

I dunno, the lite was still way less fragile than a PSP. Mine is only a bit dirty if anything, otherwise it's in great shape.

That goes without saying, psp is the fragilest system I've ever seen.
What I mean by fragile though is I've dropped my DS a lot, whether it be not paying attention or getting bumped by someone or something.
Still working fine, a few scrates, but fine.
Friend of mine nudged his lite off the bed, maybe a 1 foot drop, one of the hinges snaps and the other hinge is cracked a bit.

My DS Lite has seen a lot of drops off the bed, table, out of my hands, etc.
It's still fine. Hinge works fine. It isn't loose.

Although the L and R buttons, like my SP before it (my original DS was stolen before I had a chance to overuse the L and R buttons into not working. :V), require a lot of pressure before they register as having been pushed. Can be a bit annoying for games they're all like 'ololol use the L and R buttons to put the camera in a somewhat usable position'.

Why is it you always explain my near exact situation but in more detail than I would have?

But yeah mine falls a lot, not a scratch. Between me and my brother, we have three dses. (One is technically our moms though.) We originally got one for us to share and one for our mom, but she didnt use hers so I took it and my brother kept the other one. After awhile, my brothers ones right hinge just fell off, and is hanging by only the left hinge. So I got a new one for my birthday, and he got our moms from me.

The one he now has is starting to fall apart though. A small chunk of the right hinge is missing, causing his top screen to be floppy, and the picture on the top screen is messed up.

In case you didnt get all that, here is a handy reference chart thing.

White ds: Ours, right hinge missing, useless.
PANK ds: Transferred from mom to me to brother, right hinge not working properly, top screen picture messed up.
Black ds: Mine, working fine.

My DS Lite's right hinge has snapped off, and I'm afraid it's going to completely break sometime soon. Right now it's fine other than the screen being floppy, but I'm having to be extra careful with it since I need it to be able to transfer Pokemon from the Gen IV titles to the Gen V games once I get the 3DS. Plus, with the 3DS being $250, I won't have the cheddar to buy a new DS Lite.

It kills me that the reason why the right hinge on my DS Lite snapped was because it was in my purse. :colbert: I have no idea how the hell that happened.

I pride myself in the fact that my DS is seemingly indestructible, thank you.
