Everyone has different experiences with the game, and the difficulty of the levels depends on your build.

Got my copy of Dark Souls today, decided to play as a pyromancer.

Oh yeah, I got past the capra demon, and beat the Bell Gargoyles (they were easy). Now I'm just going around procrastinating the depths (I heard they're awful).

Keep an eye on the ceiling and the floors. And beware the basilisks.

The thing about the depths is that they are actually a lot shorter then you'd think. But the Blighttown happens and you kinda wish you were still in the depths.
Also l've been procrastinating the entire second half of the game for two months now, so don't feel bad.

I kinda stopped playing in some sort of... Fort/castle/town thing? Pretty early on too. It wasn't too bad until then actually. But there I started dying a lot and had to walk a pretty long way to get back to where I was just to die again, and..

I already tried Blight town a little bit, using the Valley of Drakes passage. I didn't get very far before I got hit with those toxin darts and ended up dying. I decided I'd go back to it later, so I guess I'll leave it for after I do the depths. I'll probably start playing it again tomorrow.

Yeah man. Do the Depths first. Then you can tackle Blight Town. Just make sure you buy a ton of arrows to take out the snipers and the Mosquito things.

It's a good thing I let that merchant live then. I've been killing almost every NPC I come across. I've only let a few live. The blacksmith guy, the arrow merchant, and the people behind bars. I might start the game over seeing as how I might need some spells and I have no way of getting them.

NEVER KILL NPCS. Until you're going to start new game plus.

Besides to get the Sunbro gear you have to let him live a little longer.
