Just beat the game myself.

THAT. FUCKING. ENDING.

For the life of me no forum weapon or reaction image could ever sum up how fucking trippy and shocking that ending was.

Irrational, you guys.

YOU GUYS.

FUCK.

Total game time i think was about 9-11 hours.

beat tomb raider in about that time.

Were you rushing or was that normal play time? Because I don't spent $60 on a game with that kind of cost/time ratio.

Around twelve hours is a solid length for a game, assuming it's not an RPG or multiplayer based.

No, it really isn't. Not enough for me. When I get a game for full price it needs some serious staying power.

Actually I do. I don't have steady supply of income so when I buy a game I make sure it will give minimum 30 hours worth of playing time. That's a good week or so for me.

Buy a 2-hour movie on blu-ray for 30 bucks = 15 dollars per hour of entertainment = totally reasonable

Buy a 12-hour game for 60 dollars = 5 dollars per hour of interactive entertainment = SUCH A TOTAL RIP OFF, GEEZ

Criticizing any game that's more than about 5 hours long for being "too short" is complete bullshit and the prevalence of opinions like this is what's stifling creativity and increasing meaningless boring padding in the game industry.

I'm all for arguing length but some people would rather spen 60 bucks on a game you can't jsut fire off in a night.
But to be honest if you just take your time and look around every nook and cranny, talking to everybody you can, it can really drag it out.
Dishonored took me about 30 hours to beat my first time around.

i rushed through, took me 8 and a half hours. i don't regret buying it, because there's still a lot of stuff that i missed on my first run.

i only got around half of the voxophones and didn't even see half of the little slideshows scattered about columbia.

It's not about the length, it's how you use it.

Also, what weapons have you guys been using? I've had my shotgun with me ever since I found it (though you can't upgrade it apparently? what's up with that?) and have been switching between the machine gun and carbine as a secondary weapon. Devil's facebattle has seen the most use thanks to the aoe damage and panic factor. I've been upgrading my shield the most because I generally try to avoid taking enough damage at once to start losing health. I'm playing on Hard because I'm familiar enough with FPS games. I played like the first hour on Medium and then switched which means I won't get the achievement or whatever but who cares about those.

I just boarded the First Lady, how far in am I? Halfway through?

I was trying my best to side track as much as possible but always kept moving forward.

And I didn't actuallybuy it, it was a gift for putting together a friend's pc. The code came from a video card promotion.

Yeah it's trippy as fuck.
But it has nothing on End of Evangelion. I don't think anything does.
