if you get a holy sword, apparntly they dont come back. i made a LOLGRABTHEITEMS run in the valley of drakes to get the holy sword down there. ill see if it was worth it once i get that one more faith to use the thing.

also the drake sword does not scale with you, so eventually it will suck dick compared to other weapons

Oh my GOD. the Drake sword is SO COOL, it was totally worth the hour and a half it took to get it.
How do you repair items though?
I haven't seen any blacksmiths yet.

if you havent been to the blacksmith yet, the merchant in undead burg sells a repairbox

So whenever I have my Drake Sword equipped, there's this little blue box beneath my stamina bar. Anyone know what this means?

To anyone lurking who is just getting into the game: Once you beat the second boss and kick down the ladder there is an easy way to grind souls.

Climb the ladder go into the room where you can either go through the door on the left or keep going straight and go up the stairs; go up the stairs and dodge the knights imedietly jump to the little nook on the other side of the bridge. The Drake will shoot fire and kill all of the soldiers you just dodged and give you 300 souls. dodge the fire again, go back down the stairs, reach the bonfire, repeat.

Conversely, you could just kill everyone near the campfire and easily get 700 souls a pop

Where'd you get the black knights sword?

I went back to the Asylum, back to the room where you first start, and killed the Black Knight that appeared there. It takes 20 strength and 18 dexterity though.

Pretty sure it's about the attack you can do when you hold it with both hands and press Right Trigger/R2. Just be careful doing that, because it reduces the swords durability by like 30 every time you do it.

Wandering around the Forest, found a set of Leather armor and a great bow, as well as a set of Elite Knight Armor. I see a giant butterfly from this ruined tower and go

"yeah, nah no"

So I'm kinda wandering around now, might go beat the Gargoyles. Arcanite Demon was rough to get used to but my Zweilihander takes care of pretty much everything. Also, be careful when going near the Hydra, one of the cliff paths leads to the Valley of Drakes, there's a sweet sheild that regens your fatiuge faster, but there's a Halberd Black Knight there. He didn't drop his spear for me though, the faggot.

id use that shield but i got a dragon crest shield from that valley of drakes which is majorly useful for fire. plus that shield doesnt completely block physical damage.

and i swear that spear guy was easier than the normal knights.

also fuck havel.

I finally beat the Gargoyles. Actually one of the easiest fights. I've fought minibosses harder than they were. Cut one of their tails off, now I have it as a bendy axe. It's not that good, but funny as hell to see.

Went into the forest. I HATE those big guys with the gigantic swords that cast the slow spell on you. My Black Knight Sword +1 can kill them in 3 hits, though, if I can land them. I actually got two of their Stone Greatswords, but it takes FORTY strength to use. However, it does 148 damage, and has 800 durability. So that's cool.

those stone guys are ridicously easy if you just flank constantly and knick them a couple times after they get done swinging
