If they made Vaati a playable character, he should definitely be in Toon style. (That was how he was originally designed, yes? In Minish Cap? We didn't really see his human form in other games)

Perhaps he would even replace Toon Link, seeing as how Toon Link and Link are practically copies of one another...But I don't know. I do like Toon Link, but it just feels like another Link/Young Link issue.

I don't mind Falco, but his moveset is so similar to Fox's that he's practically a carbon copy. At least Wolf had a different attack style.

Roy is welcome in my opinion, but a third Fire Emblem character would probably not recieve a warm reception, since it's kind of obscure outside of Japan.

I will not deny that Wolf Link/Midna would be my favorite addition in the game. It would definitely be a change from Link's normal moves and tools which, frankly, I don't care for much. I really can't see a problem with including them.

an alternate costume and differently animated attacks would be awesome

I'd like to see either Isaac and Felix or their DS game counterparts in the next smash bros series, together with either Saki or Isa from the Sin and Punishment series. Ridley would also be cool to see playable, no matter the size issues, and I'd welcome Bowser Jr as well. Toon Zelda/Tetra would also be a cool addition, if they give Paper Mario a bit of an unique moveset, I'd like to see him in as well. Mac from Punch-Out would also be great. (I'd add Ninten to this list too if I'd actually played the first Mother and if Nintendo probably wouldn't make him a Ness/Lucas clone. I don't know why I even mention the guy, it's probably because I kinda got hooked on the Mother series ever since I played Earthbound and Mother 3.) I would also like to see another character from the Donkey Kong series, either King K. Rool or Dixie Kong, and I'd like to see another F-Zero racer, preferably either Samurai Goroh or Black Shadow. And if Nintendo ever decides to add an extra third party character, I'd like seeing Megaman as well. (Tbh though, I'd prefer Phoenix Wright over Megaman, as I have more with Ace Attorney series than the Megaman series, but that sounds rather too unrealistic. I'd also say Ryu, because fighting games seems to fit him better, but he'd probably end up as a Mario clone, which is kinda ironic, if you ask me. D= )

As for stages, I'd enjoy seeing the Elemental Light House of the Golden Sun Series, the battle stage of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (every time the curtain opens, the stage shifts. Also, the audience can throw items and rocks at you), Mario Kart's Rainbow Road and the Spirit Train cruising along the Spirit Tracks.

Why do people even like Geno?

He was one obscure party member in one Mario RPG. You might as well put in Bobbery or Vivian from PM2 using the logic. If the Mario RPGs are ever going to get a representative, it will be either Paper Mario or Fawful. I would fucking love it if Paper Mario made it into the game, but Fawful could work too. He's been in all three of Alphadream's RPGs.

There are so many much better ideas for characters than Geno. I can't even fathom why he has this ridiculous fan following.
