This is seriously the best thing I ever saw.

I'm playing this awesome halloween harvest server, and I got about 5 sniper achievements on it, with engineer I made a sentry over the HP and ammo/metal spawn and soldiers and pyros would jump through the window and get owned by my sentry.

edit: also how do I get new weapons/hats?

easiest way is to just keep playing and hope you get lucky with the random drops. as far as weapons though if you get enough achievements as a certain class that'll unlock a weapon for that class.

I remember my first night of playing I got a dead ringer and... some other thing i cant remember. fun times.

To be a little more specific, if you look up the Achievements for every class (Engineer doesn't have any yet, and therefore doesn't have any weapons to unlock) you'll see "Milestone" achievements.

One milestone is equal to one new weapon. So I think that's every 5, 11 and 16 achievements, though I'm not quite sure on the numbers.

Also you do not get weapons by achievements. I logged on yesterday as a Scout in Capture Point, killed 3 people, didn't get an achievement then got the medic saw thing. Can't remember the name.

The other way to get weapons is by the Random Drop system. At random intervals, you have a random chance of getting a random weapon or hat.

However, if you want to work for your weapons, Achievements are the way to go.

I think the only things I've gotten because of achievements were the gibus, some spy things, and a flare gun. I already had all of those anyway (besides the gibus) though.
