You're welcome.

Kids in my school say internet "lingo" so much, and I probably type those words more often than they type 'em.

Lets-players who have bad mic setup. It's common courtesy not to breathe into the speaker, cause it makes you sound like Darth Vader. I also can't stand it when they speed through text, although that doesn't happen often.

some guys in my school started shouting LOL really loud whenever they find something funny. :psyduck:

i only went to one brawl tourney since it was organised by a well known games shop in the area, and luckily everyone i met there were very polite. I did lose in the finals but meh.

And now i just remembered the fact i lost out on a free tv because of losing in said finals. DAMNIT.

A friend of a friend ONLY plays Star Craft. He justifies it as "If Koreans can play it so much competetively, it must be the best game ever, right?"

I am not joking. This dude made the choice to only ever play one game because Koreans do it, assuming it's the best, most fun game ever. Of course he's entitled to like Star Craft more than any other game... if he'd actually TRY other games.

Its funny, I reckon that all of the worst gamers already mentioned here have been around for years, even before gaming got so insanely popular. But we weren't subjected to them at such a constant rate because of a lack of online gaming. I could ramble about how I think online brings out the worst in gamers, but I won't.

I will say though, when it comes to games like Mario Kart or Smash, I can kinda empathise with the players that dive out before the game is through. When your total wins and losses are recorded and can have a bearing on which opponents you can play against and how arseholes tend to treat you, it's kinda unfair. You don't really want the black mark of a loss on your record. Long term account scoring takes the fun out of the game. Seriously, if the game is supposed to be about playing against people and having a good time, online and account records aren't helping. Competetive play is mastered in Local Area Networks or on the couch.

But I should shut up. I'm starting to sound like one of the annoying gamers that have already been mentioned.

Oh, I'm also I seriously AWFUL backseat gamer. It drives Sailor Moon nuts. She'll be playing Mass Effect and I'll say "Hey, who's that guy, I don't remember him..." and she'll deviate to endulge me and find out he's a major plot character or a mini-quest starter. My question was more of a hint. I also spot missable items when she's playing Sonic Unleashed and the like. Seriously, I'm an arsehole. I can't help it.

Okay Panda, thanks for mostly agreeing with me. o.o; Seriously, the only time I see people pick apart posts like that is when they have some serious debating to do.

And I really stopped caring about winning at video games, so that's my beef. I usually play with my friend and my sister, and I usually win, and then I feel like a bad person for winning all the time. The problem is, I'm really bad at faking a loss. I wish I was worse at video games.

I would like to hear someone try and rip on pong.
I've heard them. The same person ripped on Pacman too.

I can't believe I forgot this, and it'll probably get somebody rustled at me, but - People who constantly try to improve how I play a game.

Yes, I probably suck at it (there are few games I'm good at). Yes, it's polite to offer help, but when I say I don't care about improvement, I'm just messing around, seriously. I don't care if I'm just mashing buttons.

It's just a habit of mine when I read Smash Bros discussion. I get fueled up and I need to let it all out.

Also, I feel your pain about the whole 'winning all the time' thing. I game more often than most of my friends, so I often become better than my friends at whatever we play, usually to the point where my friends don't want to play me anymore.

Thank god they included the handicap feature in Smash Bros, else some of my friends wouldn't be able to put up a fair fight.

People who say it's peripheral when we're using two TV's and to see anything useful on the other you would have to turn your head. Otherwise I don't complain about when it looks like they're screenwatching.

DISCLAIMER: None of the above post is at all related to anything iconsting has done ever. I don't even know him.

I agree with most of what you guys are saying - and I used to get angry about it, but I find I can now easily handle spammy Pit/Ike/Fox players when 'Against Anyone'.

TWO MINUTES is too short for a game to get swinging. When I play as Lucario, I can't seem to score a KO in that short space of time.

FINAL DESTINATION is retarded - being a good BRAWLer is also about being able to adapt to different stages and use them to your advantage.

I prefer hazardous stages, 'Big Blue' is sooo awesome!

NO ITEMS is retarded - being able to use the items is part of the game, and predicting how your opponent will use them (try shield-bouncing a Bob-omb when standing right next to someone).

Also you can come up with some neat game modes by changing the item setup (you have to get the other BRAWLers to change their items too).

One game mode I recommend you try is 'BUMPER-BAT-BALL':
* Bumpers, Home-run Bat, Soccer Ball, Item Boxes (high frequency).
* Shadow Moses (keeps the items in a confined space)
* 3/5 Minutes.

It's complete havoc - so if you genuinely BRAWL for fun you should have a go!

NO CHANGING CHARACTERS BETWEEN MATCHES is epic fail - it just is - I don't want to play against three Pit 'Side-B' spammers all the time. Gimme some variety plz.

If you honestly give that much of a care about a any game, you should realize the only way to play it is to be able to play it and have fun any way, any time, under any means necessary. That includes using your worst character on a shitty stage with all the items turned on high and the inability to change your character at any time.

We often have 'Random' tournaments (as well as casual battles) at a BRAWL site I belong to - random character, random stage.

It can be fun, but getting 'Ness' via the random button three times in a row is enough to crack anybody.
