I got Super Mario 3D Land early. It's great.
I hate you.
Gamestop isn't opening early tomorrow even though they told me they were opening at 8 am for the game release.
This is the same store that opened an hour early for Professor Layton. Wouldn't you think opening early for a MARIO GAME that you admitted you have over 100 preorders for would be a good idea?
At least they're not pulling a Golden Sun and saying "Lol, Nintendo forgot to ship it to us, come back on Monday (they get shipments on Tuesdays)."
If I could depend on Wal-mart, Target, or Best Buy to not be bigger dumbasses about game releases, I wouldn't deal with Gamestop at all... >_>
In other news though, I completed my 5th Streetpass Puzzle, so now I just need 6 pieces.

Better than New Super Mario Bros or is it too different to compare.
I've been watching a few playthroughs here and there, and while it's similar to NSMB in structure (mostly linear levels, but with hidden stuff to find), it's more of a mix between SMB and SMB3 with Galaxy mechanics. There's no forked world maps, and sometimes you have to have a certain number of star coins to proceed to the next level. The airships work like they did in SMB3, but they now have a few Castle-like qualities to them (those spikes that shoot out of the ceilings and walls in some of the castles in NSMB, for example.
The bowser fights look really good though. They remind me of tougher old school SMB fights where the objective isn't to beat him up, but to get past him and blow up the bridge (and you have to get past him about 2-3 times to beat him).
And then finally
the special worlds are like the prankster comet challenges in the Galaxy games, so while the main game is supposed to be fairly easy, these are where you're going to run into trouble.
