So, I'm not part of the Skullgirls fandom, I have to ask, wtf is the deal with Squiggly?

She has a parasite in her head (Leviathan), similar to Filia's hair parasite Samson. Her mouth is sewn shut, so she speaks kinda like a ventriloquist. She's also pretty cute. She's probably gonna be the first DLC character "soon".

Ok. Why are people so excited for her? Just because she's DLC?

Because they like the game a lot and want more of it, Squiggly was talked about a lot back when the game was still in development, and people took a liking to her. Really, most Skullgirls fans (minus top players, basically) love the backstory and background/ unreleased characters already despite not knowing a lot about it, based mostly on how good what we already do have is.
