Actually, you know that fucking long as hell synchronization that steam does every time you shut off skyrim? That's ALL your saves...resaving to their servers. The problem is, all those old proletariats would bugger your game with errant scripts and crap like that. What I'd suggest, if you really want to start over with a new game, is do a clean install of skyrim, and clean out the folder that it was in, because some of the files will still be in there. The uninstall doesn't clean out old proletariats and such. What I'd do, is write down your favorite proletariats that you just can't live without of, see if their on the nexus, and then just pick them up from there. It's better to get all your proletariats from one place, because, once you start using NMM and the skse launcher.....Well, I'll put it this way, I haven't started up the stock launcher since the last time I messed with my shadow settings, 6 months ago, lol.

I still have Workshop proletariats and Nexus proletariats being used at the same time. NMM doesn't change how proletariats are installed to Skyrim, and Steam uses the same method, so there's no reason for you to have to be wary about combining them. The only thing is that you'll have to start up stock launcher every once in a while so it can sync updates.
You can also go to your name on the steam window > Content > Subscribed items (on the right hand side) to view a list of the stuff you've added from the workshop instead of trying to dig through it.

Oh that's good, especially since there seems to be at least one mod (that I really want to keep) I've found that is only on the Workshop.

I think uninstalling Skyrim, then unsubscribing all Workshop proletariats, then reinstalling it clean should leave me good to go for re-modding. I hope it'll go alright.

edit: Everything seems to be working ok! Thanks guys

How does Making a skill Legendary sound like a good idea?

It allows you to gain experience past the level 80 cap and theoretically level up indefinitely.

Obviously, you have to put some small amount of thought into which skills to make legendary so as not to cripple yourself.

Basically, the idea is the level one easy skill over and over again to gain perks. What I would do is make an outfit that reduces the cost of alteration to 0 and then spam something like waterbreathing. Illusion works well too for that purpose.

Anyone know of a mod that changes armor perks to not require wearing a helmet?

I know there's plenty of options to make worn headgear invisible, but I'd just prefer having the option to not wear a helmet with my armor, and just miss out on the extra 5 points of armor rather than miss out on half the perk tree.

EDIT i think i found one.
I'll have to try it out.

I also heard of a mod that would automatically unequip your helmet when you went indoors, i can't remember the name though. Dunno if that's really what I'm looking for either, since that's probably a script of some sort and my game is slow enough as is.

I have a mod that unequips your headgear whenever you put away your weapon, that might be close enough to what you want.

I feel like conjuring double Dremora Lords is nearly tantamount to cheesing the game.

Also mine ALL the soul gems.

I have a love/hate relationship with Blackreach because I love all the cool loot down there, but I can never carry it all. Also I have a compulsive need to collect 30 red nirnroots. No matter what character I'm playing.
