Best part is it requires no materials to upgrade and you can snatch it off the questgiver as soon as you're in the Sanctuary, with the right perks.

Mine is dragon/daedric dagger with soul steal enchantment smith'd to legendary. That with 100 lvl sneak and assassin blade makes both killing and soul collecting the easiest shit ever (which is especially necessary since my normal combat two sword combo requires the soul steal/fire enchantments, which need to be recharged frequently. That and my bow is soul steal). I looked at the blade of woe when I got it, and threw it in my box. Then again, by the time I got to that part of the game, I was carving through everything with ease with that combo.

I've found that when you tilt the soul steal meter to it's worst setting, it makes it where as long as you kill the target with that blade, it fills a soul gem. It's a lot better than switching knives/spells mid fight.

I'm sorry this game doesn't allow for more charitable behavior. Some lady was complaining about her life in Winterhold, saying she didn't have enough cheddar to move somewhere else and that she can't sell anything because no one comes to Winterhold except for the College, so she's basically stuck in a shitty cycle of poverty. Meanwhile I'm carrying about 60,000 gold pieces and want nothing more than to throw cheddar at her.

You can drop an expensive item in front of her. Sometimes NPC's will take them. Be careful though, I did that in Riften, to clear some space in my inventory and shuffle things, when the priestess by the Thieves Guild and the meat seller got into a fight over some Dwemer Cogs. The priestess murdered the merchant and took the cogs.

Though the best part was that I was standing by a freshly-slain dragon corpse so the entire fucking town watched it happen. And no one did a daisies thing.

I mean charity sanctioned within the game's programming. Like, I could drop a rare expensive item for her to pick up, but it's not going to improve her situation.

Meanwhile a pile of 60 Chaurus eggs have been sitting on the pavement in Riften for, like, a month......

Eesh, those're going to have a smell.

Mehrunes Dagger made the end of the Thieves' Guild Story a bit anti-climactic.

Charged? Mehrunes Dagger doesn't have such a pitiful thing as "charges". It just kills whenever it feels like it.

Are you sure? I thought it had a charge, like most other enchanted weapons.

Yeah, "Random killing" is not an enchantment but an inherent ability. Like those other things... what were they... I dunno, they have a bar like enchanted weapons but it's filled in completely in some colour I can't explain.
