How to counter a Shrike pilot:
1. Buy a Shrike.
2. Fire your useless, slow-traveling weapon at him.
3. Give up and crash into it, destroying both Shrikes instantly.
4. Camp the enemy vehicle pad as an Infiltrator, stick the Shrike when your target buys a second one.

How to counter a Sentinel:
1. Wait for the Sentinel to find an important target.
2. Shoot him in the back with a non-lethal weapon.
3. Don't kill him, just waste his time dodging the Falcon while your cappers actually make progress because he's distracted.

This is how it's done, my friends.

I know nothing about this game, so don't take me too seriously if I'm horribly wrong D:

it seems like you're defending the sentinal as a balanced class. Putting a guy on "anti-sentinal" duty would definitely help your team but if it requires you to dedicate a player from your team just to neutralize a player on the other team that seems like an indicator of poor balance. if the whole game was balanced toward one player neutralizing one other player, neither team would ever make any progress.

if you're actually not defending it as a balanced class and just saying "this is what can be done for now" then disregard me.

This is exactly what I'm saying. The only counter to a Sentinel is to have him not ignore you and to be unimportant to the outcome of the game, other than as a distraction to the Sentinel himself.

What's funny is that my counter to Shrikes is both legitimate and monstrously effective. Nothing else even comes close, including Saber Missiles and entire teams worth of full-auto spam. If you just buy a Shrike and dive bomb the other guy, you can pretty much negate his whole credit pool with your own until he's got nothing left. The Wheel Deal is strongly recommended for this, of course, and you can take Pilot too if you care about dying in the process.

Also how to counter the Sentinel: Play a sentinel and hit him when he stands still then dance left and right distracting him. Works for me. I also destroyed 20 mini turrets this way. The Great Wall is a Sentinel.

After they kill me, I like to hunt them down and backstab them. It just doesn't matter though when they respawn 6 seconds later :(

I've been almost exclusively playing TCN recently and have learned to hate infiltrators.
Which is why I can't wait to unlock the class, buy the spinfusor and wreck generators since our team never seems to have any competent infiltrators.

A word of advice: Make sure you have Close Combat and Survivalist maxed before even attempting to play the class. The former lets you one-shot mediums (even if it only ever works reliably on stationary ones, that's still enough to make it worth your time) and the latter gives you over 40 energy every time you pick up an ammo nugget, without removing your cloak.

On that note, if you just watched an Infiltrator disappear and there's a nugget nearby, try shooting at it.
