Lances are just ew wtf. There's like no movement other than LOL CHARGE and making it come out to stab something repeatly. I really need a controller since just one little jerky movement that I don't make makes my character do the leap attack. ANGERS MEEE

I can't do the catching mission. I almost kill the damned thing before it gets away and when I go to the next area to capture it, I FAIL EVERY TIME. It's annoying.

Consider using 5 Perception gems to get Capture Guru. When it's ready for capture it will start strobing on the map. You'll need to either paint it or have Autotracker (or the Fluffy Mask) but it's a good way to see for sure.

I heard lances are good for underwater battles, but eh not really sure and don't want to try.

Which one are you trying to fight, Neko? Generally they'll start limping and all but you probably know that. For me they always limp when they try to get away. Don't let them sleep or eat food or they might turn just barely uncatchable again.

Also don't hit them any more if they are limping. That is very bad.
Yes they will probably try to use long range attacks and avoid the trap, especially the Qurupeco.

No I'm having trouble with the Great Jaggi. Mostly because my stupid character always leaps and attacks when I press A e_e

Yeah that is going to happen if you press A.
I failed a lot on that mission too.

What's the point of attacking if you just try to jump OVER it. -_-" *annoying*

Where I can find the following:

-Poison Sac
-Flabby Hide
-Isisium
-Uncanny Hide
-Rare Scarab
-Toxin Sac
-Fearsome Maw

By the way, does 2 Uncanny Hides give a Uncanny Hide+?

First off, if you're using a Wiimote/Nunchuk, hold the Wiimote level when you attack with A. If you're holding it pointing upward, you'll do the leap slash. An easier approach to a sudden attack with the sword/shield is to roll and hit A at the end, which snaps you into a slash combo right away.

Generally, though, I'd use another weapon instead of the sword and shield for GJ. The Lance can always hit his head, and the hammer can stun him.

You can find Isisium in the Tundra area and I think most of the other things come from the Gigginox which is terrifying but I don't know about the Rare Scarab or Fearsome Maw.
There's a wiki if you need it.

For the rare scarab, you need to go on the Volcano area.

The Gigginox can give the Uncanny Hides, Uncanny Hides+, Flabby Hides, Poison/Toxic (High Rank) Sacs and the Fearsome Maws.

So, yeah.

The Fearsome Maw will probably be the most annoying part to get. In order to have a chance at getting it you have to wound both the head and the underside of the Gigginox. And even afterward there's only a 1 in 8 chance of getting one.

And weren't you the one asking where to find the items?

Yes, and I confirmed this by checking in the wiki.
