You do get it as a guild quest. For Low Rank expeditions. So you have to grind it up to High.

With assistance from Sloth, I beat a Nerscylla and got to HR 2, so now I can actually go fight Basarios without having to wait for the goddamn game to decide to give me one.

Also I have two new hammers and they are both monster heads on a stick. This is completely OK with me.

>Kill one Steve, two randoms DC at the same time

holy shit craziest expedition ever today

The original spawning monsters were Tidal Najarala and Savage Deviljho, and because I like pain I wanted some Savage materials for stuff. So I go off and look for Savage, and Tidal just bails because he has actual sense. So I get about halfway through the Savage Jho's health when ANOTHER SAVAGE DEVILJHO SHOWS UP. At this point everything starts going to shit, but I get the two separated and kill the first one.

Now, a normal person would simply bail with their intended treasure, but because I have no sense of self-preservation I went full Rambo after the second one, and about halfway through THAT fight a Rathian pops up. Rathian doesn't do much so I get to fight the second Savage in peace, and barely manage to kill it before it flees.

Now, a normal person would bail out with double their intended treasure, but because I am quite possibly insane I charge after the Rathian with minimal supplies, and halfway through THAT fight a Ruby Basarios pops up and starts fucking charging everywhere, but eventually the Rathian collapses under the weight of my hyper-inflated ego.

At that point self-preservation kicked in and I go to the end of the expedition. For my reward, I got three Guild Quests: Rajang and Seregios (Maximum Apex farming), Yian Garuga (pain), and Deviljho and Black Diablos (Double Pain)

Now to level up those quests to 140.

I got all the FUCKING KUT KU EARS I need. Thank every god known to man and a few I made up just now.

Finally getting around to clearing out those last few Low Rank quests now I've gotten to Caravan 10-star quests. Finished everything up until the Urgent Quests. Teostra was painful and took forever. Now all I've got left are Kushala Daora and Rajang.

On a side note, my only G-Rank weapon is a lance, but my only G-Rank armour set is for Gunlancing. Oops.

So I've been trying to grind Savage Deviljho (which, at the moment, you can only do with expeditions that he'll randomly spawn in), but seeing as how it's incredibly RNG that you'll get him, and that you'll get him with something that won't get in the way (last time I fought him freaking Yian Garuga spawned at the same time and made a mess of everything), I got tired and made a mix set with his armor and Molten's. I now look like I climbed out of the depths of hell.

I call it the "Max Damage" set: Attack Up XL, Weakness Exploit, Speed Eating + 2, HG Earplugs. (It naturally comes with Attack Up L, Speed Eating + 1, and Earplugs, gemmed/talismaned the other stuff)

I'm trying to see if I can't find a way to cram Crit Draw in there. I'd probably have to sacrifice some skills or get really lucky with the Talisman farming.
