I always re-watch that playthrough every so often. What video was that where they were talking about The Last Guardian?

Part 11. It's really just an off-hand reference in a middle of a joke about the Zapping System™. It's just weird that 2 years have gone by and The Last Guardian is still not a real thing.

That RE2 playthrough is still my go to example of everything an LP should be.

RE2 might be one of my favorite TBFP things of all time, if not my favorite. It hits all of the right strides and doesn't get bogged down with excessive content or gimmicks on part of the commenters. Everything except for the audio quality (large amounts of desync early on, inconsistent balancing) is basically perfect. The Yakuza 4 lp was one of my favorites in a long time for a lot of the reasons I liked RE2; it was simple and entertaining.

RE4 is looking to be that way too, with Pat steamrolling through it at least so far. Once they progress further it may peter out and slow down a bit as they have to try and remember what to do at certain points.

Betrayer looks like a game I need to pick up once it goes on sale. I had an idea what it was like before TBFP's video but now it really caught my interest.

But christ Pat why would you ever use a controller for a first person PC game. Watching it take 2 seconds for you to do a 180 and awkwardly try to adjust your aim was cringeworthy.

Holy shit it actually was a full three seconds. At least turn up the sensitivity. Also actually read the clues, they seem to be getting worse at stuff like that. Not quite Game Grumps level yet, but still.

I can't believe Matt and Pat didn't know about the Colmillos/wolves intro cutscene on the other lake shore in RE4. I guess it's a hidden thing but it seems like something one of them would have known about.

Yeah, definitely something Pat should have seen sometime in one of his many runs of the game.

Shadow Warrior 2013 is something I didn't expect TBF to check out but I'm glad they did because that game deserves more exposure. It's one of 2013's better PC exclusives and I'd recommend every fan of FPS to check it out, after playing the original first that is.

For kicks, I just went to rewatch that video, and they end up talking about Shadow Warrior in that episode. Matt even describes the game using almost the exact same words as he does in the Shadow Warrior 2013 video.

Small world.

I like their Minecraft LPs but I'm more of a fan of their other series. I especially love VS. and their battles in the various Worms games they've played.
