Sure it does! It is like Minecraft in that the world is randomly generated, and you can make a different type of base the next time.

Also you may get the accessories at different times, so on one playthrough you may have been using a Cloud in a Bottle, while another playthrough you use the climbing claws/shoes.
You can also use a different weapon type. Just about every weapon type has its pros and cons. Spears, Flails, Boomerangs, random magic junk, or the ice sword.

Every playthrough can be a new adventure!
Alternatively, we could all go on our max itemized characters and build a super awesome town/megabase!

I would like to try our team pvp setup again. This time with rules. Is anyone interested in doing mediumcore pvp or softcore pvp? The only problem we had last time was the minimap showing the position of every player, but you can disable the minimap in the options menu to make it fair.

Team PvP is interesting, but not sure how I feel about it.

I prefer collaborating with others towards a common goal. For instance, I feel like as a team, we could make a much larger, or better looking base, while as in single player, I could care less about making it look good, as nobody is going to see it.

Structured PvP where we meet up and do a battle in an arena sounds fun, but ambushing our base and stealing some of our precious items, that's kinda crossing the line. Same with medium core pvp. If you lose items on death, then you would have to store up many many many ores as backup, and not bring any special items on you because you may lose them, which makes it very unfun.

Like I told Noff in chat, PvP is fun. Mediumcore may also be fun. But losing items because another player stole them just makes you dislike that person, while if you were mediumcore and fell in lava, you would just dislike the game.

WTB more people for team pvp, need people who are trust worthy enough to disable their maps.

Trust me, they become fucking annoying in hardmode, the spiders have ALOT of health by then.

Make sure to farm them long enough to get a Poison Staff. op magic weapon right there.

I spend a good 2 hours just sitting around killing chaos elementals for the Rod of Dischord, then I decide to leave and I fucking fine it in lava not too far off screen mocking me for god knows how long. Still worth as it's fun as hell to use.
