When I was a kid, Doom and Doom II.

Now, Undying and F.E.A.R.

I've never played a really scary game.

I am a pansy, though watching my brother play Resident Evil 4 goes something like this.

Infected Villager: -comes close-
Ethan: Oh, you wanna come over for some tea and cookies?
Me: And some pumpkin pie!
Ethan: -kills it- ooh, ooh, sorry, looks like you're not gonna be coming over for tea and cookies!
Me: and pumpkin pie!

-pansy'd- I have an obsession with pumpkin pie.

In all the descriptions of scary games I've ever heard (I don't actually play them, sorry), nothing sounds more unsettling and simultaneously fascinating as Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.

The game was so incredibly vast that it was more like three completely different games. Whenever your sanity meter runs out, the walls start bleeding. You're greeted with cutscenes that make absolutely no sense, like a vision of the main character dead and a bathtub, then the scene ends and you find shotgun ammo on the floor. You play as multiple characters, from an ancient Roman soldier to a black man from the seventies, fro and all. Once or twice, the main character just randomly turns around, sees the camera, and goes batshit insane and starts shooting. And then they just get over it and keep going.

Seriously. What the fuck.

Ehh, I don't get scared that easily.

But playing X days *gets shot for talking about them too much* made me kinda scared. :(

We need a supah pumpkin pie cult.

I should go out and buy a scary game right now just so I do not continue wasting everyone's valuable (or not) time.

Resident Evil 4 is just about the ONLY scary game they have for gamecube... so I don't have much of a choice... though I actually think that hand thing in TP was scarier than most parts in RE4. *Shiver*

I'm surprised no one has mentioned any of the Silent Hill series. those games are just friggin' scary as hell...and the music can be scary too.

Also Clock Tower, SNES and PS1, still scares the living bejeezus outa me...

Majora's Mask.

I was eight and I was so scared you wouldn't believe it.

That's kind of what made me like it so much.

I swear, no other game I've played has made me that scared.
And I played some violent games in my life.
