The guns are actually different this time around! Each brand of gun has a special property.
There's this one gun that, when you reload it, you throw it like a grenade and it explodes, then your pack materializes another one with a full clip in your hands.

I thought the main game was "all right". The gameplay is fun, the plot is a bit out-there in an enjoyable way, the characters are cooky and entertaining. Very enjoyable with friends (I played with Cafall my first run-through), never bothered going solo. I would say the two biggest drawbacks are the fact that solo play can be a bit lonesome (the game is practically made to play with friends) and, while the plot was good, the ending was absolutely lackluster and anti-climactic. When I finished with Cafall, we were like, "Is that it?"

In all honesty I thought the DLC was better than the main game (which really helped make up for the fact that the game's ending was p. dumb). All four were fantastically fun and really expanded upon the world. Not to mention all the characters introduced in them were great. There's a reason some of them are reappearing in Broderlands 2.

I am super excited for this sequel.

Same here. I am going through the story now and I have only gotten to level 6 so it is still possible to tag along if you guys want to. The more the merrier!
