Is anyone else excited about Flipnote studio, the new application for the DSi? Personally I think it looks pretty good, mainly because I never go on the computer enough to finish off any flash animations.

But, Yeah, maybe it's just cause I'm into these kinds of things, but it'd be nice to find other peoples opinions on it.

But seriously look at these!

It's a pretty clever use of the DS, but everything looks so scratchy and pixely.

I completly agree, but after having no other (official) drawing programs for the DS I just can't help but be excited!
I am a bit worried about frame restraints though.

It's not the program's fault. All drawings on the DS look that messy.

This is a DS remember. Its screen is 256x192 pixels. That's smaller than those really old DOS games! Most other games cover up the small screensize via anti-aliasing techniques, which is why you don't notice so much.

Is this true? Does that mean I could get it now? It looks really cool.

EDIT: I just checked my DSi and I found it. I liked the ones on youtube but I'm not sure I can do something that awesome. :o

I have a homebrew application for the DS that is sorta like this called Animanatee. It's pretty cool.

Yeah, I actually don't have one, but my sister does.

And she has no quips about me using it when she doesn't. I'm quite lucky in that respect.

Is this happening to anyone else:

Stores no longer have regular DS, or pens for it, or anything.

They're trying to move the DS Lites as quickly as possible and they're quickly disappearing from stores too.

Yet more and more and more DSis keep appearing everywhere?

Not seen a regular DS for sale for about two years.

I doubt it's the stores' fault, Nintendo probably stopped manufacturing the original DS units. They may have even stopped manufacturing DS Lite units with the arrival of the DSi...

...hard to say though, because one has the GBA slot, and the other doesn't.

I've got to admit, I'm still the proud owner of a DS:BRICK. I don't know, it just feel more ergonomic to me.
But I've never really looked for the original's acessories, I just bought a crapload of them with the console.

Yeah, you're pretty much screwed if you own a DS and lose your stylus. Right now, I'm using a DS Lite stylus, and keeping it with my DS by closing it with the stylus in the middle.

I have the original DS, and yeah, I've been really worried about losing my stylus. Luckily I have a big clunky screen cleaner attached to the end, which is easily spotted if I drop it on the floor or something.

It doesn't surprise me the brick isn't being manufactured anymore, but the Lite? Why are they tossing out that? :c I want to play my GBA games.
