Across the nation thousands of concerned mothers and spouses are filing missing persons reports after not hearing from their loved ones in weeks.

They were all found playing Stardew Valley.

Discuss your sweet farming techniques, brag about your amazing spouse/pet, contemplate why Marnie is unquestionably the best and Shane is absolutely the worst, and complain about how terrible you are at fishing.

I'm at two hearts with Leah, yissssssssss. She will be mine one day.

I played it a while ago.
I'm decent at fishing, though still have some trouble with the toughest fish.
Also married Maru because science girl with glasses.
Shane starts to get nicer the more you become friends.

Aww yiss, mofuckin Stardew Valley thread.

I'm in the third year and I got the statue of perfection from Grandpa Santa so now I'm slowly starting up a honey empire.

I shall be the bee king, and Abigail shall bee my queen.

I have done exactly fuck all in regards to developing relationships with anyone beyond doing the mission board quests. I have been entirely focused on fixing the community center. I repaired the bridge to the quarry, the greenhouse and the minecarts so far; I'm coming up to the last couple days of my first winter and just haven't played it any more since, though I kept a notepad doc of all the stuff I was actively working on. (Right now the main thing being catching a Sturgeon before the end of Winter.) I got to level 100 in the regular mine and have halfway unlocked the desert bus. I have a fully upgraded coop and barn with at least one of everything, a stage 2 house, and actually don't suck that much at fishing since I think I'm at level 7 or 8.

Is there an upgraded preserves jar that takes less time to make delicious foodstuffs or a way to make the whole process take less time because good god two days just for one jar.

I would agree, but Alex is best boy for confessing his feelings over a dinner and how he was worried he was wrong for feeling that way, but decided to go for it.

Also he didn't try smooching me or bedding me, so good baby.

I got my first house expansion just before Winter kicked in, so now I can not make all my delicious foods that need veggies.

This is the first game is a while that just compleeeeeetely consumed me for a few days. It was a little scary.

I absolutely love it to death, though, since it's just this strange, relaxing, ant-like wash of productivity I can indulge in after a long day. I'm at the point now where I filled my greenhouse with blueberries, creating an infinite engine of cheddar I need never replant or maintain, only occasionally harvest with huge dollar sign eyes. I have more cheddar than Yoba.

BUT IT'S ALL MEANINGLESS since I fucked up my apple tree this season and lost my window to harvest them. Now, nearly one game year later, I'm in some kind of horribly heavy-handed folk fairytale where I am completely willing to pay 6 million dollars to anyone in Stardew who can give me an apple. Nobody in town has ever, ever heard of one.

Also: This just happened to me:

Alexander Hamilton just... sitting on my horse. Would not move.

It is Spring 3, Year 2. I am:

[*] two items away from completing the community center (red cabbage and truffle)
[*] at 10 Farming, 9 Foraging, 9 Mining, 8 Fishing, and 9 Combat

And I have:

[*] completed both the mine and the skull cavern and all of the monster quests except for slimes and void spirits
[*] 20 Preserving Jars
[*] 18 Kegs
[*] 9 taps
[*] 4 fruit trees
[*] 2 giant mushrooms
[*] 2 cows
[*] 2 rabbits
[*] 2 blue chickens and 1 void chicken (used to have two white, one brown, and a duck but I sold them recently once they were maxed out)

and all my tools tools are steel except for my pickaxe which is Iridium, and I have access to the sewer because my artifact collection is almost complete.

But the one thing...... the ONE thing......... I REALLY WANT.... I can't find.

I just... I just want a farm covered in dinosaurs. :'C

I left the game pinned to my steam menu for so long but I still have not gone back to it, despite having been super addicted at first, and having not actually even finished the first year. (Just a handful of days left to try and catch a Sturgeon unless I'mma have to wait until summer.)

okay kids i know this thread is old but i still play this game when im bored or wanna chill out but i am getting a bit salty because apparently the game bugged and i can't get one (one) recipe which is preventing me from finishing the cooking collection. so i downloaded a mod that lets me give myself every recipe, but i have NO idea how to install it. ive scoured the steam mod pages but there's no actual information that i can find to actually install them? and i watched a video of how to use the mod system but i followed it and it didn't work

please help me i just want to be able to make cranberry sauce

I started playing it with proletariats. Adjusting the game time from 7 seconds per 10 minutes back to 10 seconds outdoors, 15 seconds indoors and 20 seconds in the mines has made it dramatically more relaxing to play since I'm not constantly fighting the clock. The ability to F1 objects and see how long it will take them to finish, whether or not they're relevant to a community center bundle, and who if anyone likes/loves it is crazy useful. Also added one to allow me to save at any time because it's super fucking frustrating to be halfway through a day then hear my "gotta get ready for work" alarm going off and be like "well fuck it, guess I'm trying again later." Also, profession experience bars, and a nice little enemy health bar mod that slowly goes from a gray ??? to a green-to-red ??? to a fully functioning numbered health bar as you murder more and more of that specific enemy.
