Yeah but I just picked up a quest that'll reward me with 60 skulls.

I can't decide what level would be best for tackling the Ur Dragon. Not sure if I should try at 100 or wait for 125

Who the hell thought it'd be a good idea to let Drakes have a move that automatically kills all pawns in melee range. No, seriously, whose fucking idea was that?

Also from the gameplay videos, I expected the darkness to be some never-ending horror film, but instead I can jog through the dark all night and not have a single issue with Holy Affinity.

Well I was dissapointed by the drake fight as a Sorcerer.
High Gicel, or whatever it's called, took him down to two health bars.
But his insta kill pawn move was rather nice, I didn't have to waste healing on them.

Aaaah but the cockatrice, that mother fucker keeps stoning and killing my pawns.

All dragons (wyrms, the dragon, wyverns, drakes) have the roar ability that instakills all pawns in range. It's really not that bad since you can just revive em in a matter of seconds.

Oh and Grye, stop by the herb shop and pick up some secret softizer or whatever the fuck it's called and give 10 to each pawn and to yourself. Pawns will instantly use them when they get petrified.

At the cost of half their maximum health.

Reached Level 9 in Mage so now I'm an Assassin and my Pawn is a Mage so she can be the healing/enchanting person. Trying to finish up my sidequests before I do the audience with the Duke so I don't get a ton of FAILED labels popping up like what happened when I did the Everfall.

That's always a good idea. I didn't think of doing that till my third run through and I still missed a bunch of quests -_-

Got a Dragonforged Cutlass and boots from fighting the drake. Was pretty much an exercise in attrition, with me raining arrows on him endlessly so he would fly away several times. Pawns were pretty much useless except as bait so he could grab them and let me dash in for some heart slashing. Also took down some griffins and chimeras. The griffins were a bit tough because they kept flying around, but then I discovered that an Oil Arrow followed up by a Blast Arrow would drop them to the ground, and boy did they fall from way up high.

Kind of concerned I may have screwed myself over by going Mage in the beginning though. Each vocation gets certain stats on level up, and level-ups occur more often in the beginning so most of those stats went to the Mage side of things. Some people are saying I should have done Fighter and Warrior first to pick up their Augments and stats then done Assassin so he has the proper power.

Also the one file per Gamertag is a bit annoying, but nothing I can't work around. Might start over from scratch, as I tend to do after some hours of playing RPG's and figuring out the intricates of the game.

If you want another file, just make a new save in the cloud storage

Cloud storage is for Gold members only. I've already got another Gamertag from when I snagged the DD demo, which was exclusive to Gold for a while and making a new GT gets you a month of Gold, so I can play with that if need be. Right now I seem to be doing okay damage with Assassin, though I am going to go Fighter/Warrior now for Augments before coming back to it. Already got a 2 Star Gryphic Victory in storage.

The DD wiki is really helpful

Yes I know, but what I'm saying that is that I spent the first twenty-odd levels as a mage, which probably is among the last things with strength increases. If I do a new game, I'd pick Fighter as the primary, haul booty to Gran Soren, change to Assassin until I hit the mid-twenties when level ups stop coming as frequently, change back to Fighter to grab the last few Augments, change to Warrior, so on and so forth.

It's up to you. I started out as a mage and I'm doing just fine :P

Guess I'll see later down the road, at least until I grab all the Achievements on this GT because I am an Achievement whore. Didn't put down Skyrim until I got all of them, and Dark Souls only got set down because I take frequent breaks so I don't snap.

I picked this game up earlier on in the week. Rolled a mage with a strider as my pawn. Everything goes down quickly except for humans oddly enough. Fighters in particular are difficult to bring down.
I usually don't have any problems walking around at night. This time however, instead of the usual hordes of undead and/or goblins, I ran into a dragon. I've learned to not fight them yet.
