THE SHIP SHALL BE CHRISTENED: THE USS ZOMBIE
The Crew members shall be: Spoony, Sun Godess Loli (15 character limit), and Fluffy SlutCake.

Now, we'll be playing on easy, but only because it gives us more scrap metal (currency)
There is no difficulty change.

We aren't mining the asteroid for scrap. It's part of the mod manager, and I think its pretty cheap.

Oh great. We started in a nebula. That means our sensors are down, and we'll have less power to use. Sensors allow you to see the interior of your ship, and at upgraded levels, the enemy's interior.
Speaking of upgrades:

These are the systems. Or stats. You power systems to use the upgrades, you buy all these upgrades with scrap, which you scavenge from various sources. Shields, weapons, engines, and pilot seat can all be manned by crew to activate certain things, like, piloting. And shield recharge speed.
Most important:
Reactor. The reactor is how much power you have to distribute.
From left to right:
Engines. Upgrading and manning adds FTL drive charge speed, and dodge chances.
Oxygen, the rate at which oxygen recharges.
Weapons: How many weapon power slots can be used, each weapon has a power bar requirement.
Medbay: How fast health recharges while in the medbay.
Cloaking: We can go invisible and be untargetable. If you have the stealth weapons upgrade you can shoot while cloaked.
Subsystems: Piloting. Evasion chance (basically dodge)
Sensors: Seeing your ship and enemy's. At max level you can see their power use.
Doors: Door health, used to keep enemies that board your ship at bay. if this system is down, you can't open any doors manually
You may have noticed we have no shields. We'll need to get some immediately, from a store. Most ships start with shields.
(with the mouse. walking towards them still opens them.)
That may be a lot to sink in.
We're going to buy better weapons, so we can use both of our weapons at once.

First jump, only one choice. There is a ship there, we may have to fight. it's still in a nebula.

It's a mercenary trader. We're going to fight him.
Spoony is on weapons, Loli is piloting, and Fluffy SlutCake is on the engines.
Combat is real-time, weapons charge at different rates, shields block most lasers and beam weapons, but not all missiles.
We're going to take their shields down, the blue icon circle icon on the enemy side is how many hits their shield can take before it needs to recharge. The green bar is their health.
We have a laser weapon and a beam weapon, beam weapons can reach across multiple rooms and do more damage based on that, and have partial shield piercing.

Our beam is really shitty though. It's a tiny line and does one damage per room.
NOW WE'RE GONNA CLOAK AND WAIT FOR THE WEAPONS TO CHARGE. I hope you aren't too drunk, Spoony!
Then we'll uncloak and blast em'.

That's what cloaking looks like.

We launch a shot and hit their shields, orange means it is damaged but not broken.

Oh fuck they have a beam weapon
It sets fire to our engine room. I hope you're good at fixing engines, baco- I mean Fluffy SlutCake.

Shit. Red means broken.
Cloaking is down. We target their shields, oxygen, and weapons with one beam.

They offer to surrender, fuck that.

They're dead, dave. Everyone's dead.

This is what we looted from the battle.

Oh god everything is fucked
repair team, assemble! After a bunch of spamming the screenshot button this happens.

Crisis averted!
The PANK tint means we were low on oxygen. I had to vent atmosphere to put out the fires. And we only have one airlock.

I decide to jump to this beacon, next.

Oh HELL yes. Scouting the sector for sure.

Where should we go? What route should we take?
Caution signs are ships, those circles are possible ion storms and asteroid fields. Distress calls are calls from ships for help/a trap.
Stores are stores, we can sell equipment there. We can't sell extra missiles/fuel or drone parts. We can buy them there however.
Oh right. And the rebels are chasing us. After each jump they'll get closer. Once they reach us, we'll have to fight our way to the exit. Unless we skip exploring.
