im amazed there isnt a thread for this yet, this is by far one of the funnest games ive played in awhile

short version first- medieval mode from tf2 basically.

long version- you have 4 classes

archer, which can use a bow/crossbow/javelin (you can pick one when you spawn), can choose different arrows with bow, gets a shield he can put down for cover as crossbow, or a shield using javelins. also does 50% backstab damage in melee

man at arms, who is the fastest but least armored (cept archer) and can use a sword/axe/mace. he can also choose from 2 different shields/ throwing knifes/throwing axes/fire pot (basically a fire grenade that burns the ground). he can also dodge in any direction

vanguard, man of the middle. his special ability is when hes sprinting for long enough he can do a sprint attack, which does a fuck ton of damage. his weapons are 2h sword/spear/polearm and can bring throwing knifes or throwing axes.

knight, the fattest man around. slow as a mo fo but can take quite a beating. he can either take a tower shield or throwing weapons. he can use 2h sword (which he can wield in one hand with a tower shield in the other)/warhammer/waraxe.

each weapon type has 3 unlocks that you get by getting kills with that type of weapon. the unlocked weapons aren't particularly upgrades. more like different playstyles. ex: the first crossbow does a good amount of damage, with a slow reload. the 2nd crossbow does less damage, but has a faster reload.

each class also has 2ndary weapons for different situations. archers use dagger/short sword while the others can use handaxes/swords/maces/etc. depends on the class and primary weapon.

for map types there are quite a few. both teams attack and defend on separate maps so its different from tf2 in that respect (blue always attacking red sort of thing)

theres last man standing mode which generally means you get 1 life per round. team deathmatch, king of the hill, and a couple that actually vary per map. on one map blue has to go light a torch in the red base, then have 2 ppl stand next to a trebuchet till it dies and do this 4 times before hopping on one of 3 ballista to shoot at 3 seperate ships, which all must die for blue to win.

another requires red to run around and kill 40 peasants and burn houses (which count as 2 points), the push a battering ram to a gate and then hold the battering ram there till the door breaks. then you must kill the king, who is the current top player on blue team.

an interesting fact: you can have servers with up to 64 people. let that sink in for a second. thats 32 vs 32 in MELEE (bar some pussy archers) charging and wailing at each other and mind you friendly fire IS on in this game and you WILL kill a friend with a backswing and it WILL be funny as hell

best part about all this? its only 25 bucks. (12 if you get it during a sale like i did).

it has had many hilarious moments for me (as well as frustrating ones). i think we could really do some AZ games on here that would be fun as fuck.

This seemed pretty fun when I watched vids of it, but I don't think I could keep playing it for long so maybe I'll get it when I have cheddar and there's a sale.
