Seriously, this game was a lot of fun! Possessing people and objects in order to complete various tasks is creative, especially since you need to scare your hosts before you can possess them (and scaring them is fun  )

It combines shooting with puzzles and exploration, the music was incredible, and the monster designs are great. Sure, some of it got frustrating at times (daisies monsters that can turn invisible), but the camera never gets in your way (it's first person, after all), and the controls are smooth. And the plot makes you want to know what happens next!

The game was pretty fun, yeah. It could have been a lot more, sadly. Scaring people was fun, but too... linear. I would've liked more options.

Music was also pretty meh, to the point where I can't even recall it. This is not a case of me not doing my research. This is a case of the music just not being worth remembering.

Overall the game was still very innovative and fun to play. So... yeah.

We all have different taste in music, but I though the boss music was rather epic.

General reception says it should probably be left alone to gather dust.

Edit: bloody forum doesn't recognise the URL tag. How old is this software anyway?

Edit again: 2005? Seriously? Katie hasn't updated the forum in four years! I mean geeez, that's bad!

This forum wasn't even around in 2005. Neither was AwkwardZombie.com as a whole.

in a sense I agree, with some new innovations thrown in, a sequel to Geist would be the best thing that's happened to the Wii since Super Smash Bros Brawl, or No More Heroes, or Madworld.

assuming the sequel would be for the Wii.

It's the # that causes the problem, some other symbols like = also cause problems (You see the problem a lot with youtube links). And it's really an issue with most forums, due to using HTML-based markup language.

TinyURL.com solves all your problems. Heck, they even have a bookmark-bar button thingy so it's one click to make a different URL...

Oh TinyURL, how would I live on the Internet without thee?

I think, if it did have a sequel, it should be longer, and it should involve a "different choices invoke different paths" system, so that when you beat the game, you can play it again for a different experience.

Obviously, Bryson, Anna and Phantom will be in the sequel...

Well if they were to make a sequel, they'd definitely have to do something about its linearity. I don't mean having only one story path, I mean that there's only one way to scare each person and that's it. That was a huge complaint in reviews.

The different scare tactics didn't bother me. I liked dropping that ladder almost on top of that Volks soldier!

The only thing(s) I hated in this game was the Volks battle and the second Cord battle.

The Volks battle was SO FUCKING HARD!! It says at IGN that you're supposed to possess the rockets when he shoots them at you and run them back at him, but when I did that I lost track of Raimi. I finally found him possessed by a Spectral Operative (one appears whenever you take away a quarter of Volks' health, which is roughly the damage the rocket does) who was running him into one of the fireplaces.

I finally won by just shooting Volks and any Spec Ops that appeared.

[spoiler]Also, there's only one Health pack in that fight FFFFFF![/spoiler]

As for the second Cord battle...you had to possess any one of the five Heavy Soldiers or one of the two Gun Cams in the room in order to take out Cord. If your soldier or Gun Cam got destroyed. you just move on to the next possessable body. But it doesn't help that you have to make sure that the engineer, Walters, doesn't get killed, and he's standing right in front of the daisies door, a sitting duck! For me, I used up all five soldiers and both Gun Cams and had to resort to finishing off Cord with Walters' rivet gun. Really the only thing I hated about this fight was the fact that Walters could easily be killed if you were too close to him so that the soldiers and Cord and the Gun Cams shot at him as well as you.

BAWW long rant.
