You know what the hardest part of updating is? I mean, aside from not being lazy and having to savescum like mad for perfect shots/plays and having to make 10 different folders for the pics because every time I close the game the screenshot numbering process resets and starts deleting my first batch of pics if I don't get separate folders for them, and then having to delete/ignore half of them during uploading anyway, and then having to individually drag each png to upload because my mouse keeps fritzing whenever I try to drag multiple pics at once, and then pray to god my comp doesn't crash/internet goes out during the middle of all this?
Because if you DO know something harder in the LPing process then I'd certainly like to know!
Now where were we...
Ah yes villagers.

So first he says only thieves can open doors, then he says that thieves aren't the only ones who can open doors. Make up your mind!
Also, this is the first instance where the text advances in increments of 3 lines instead of 2, meaning I either have to know in advance it's gonna happen and get ready to screenshot before the first line of new text gets scrolled out, or I can miss it and not want to reload again.

That's generally what "destroyed" means, you don't need to be tautological about it.

Oh, a support! Fire Emblem is well known for having interesting supports that flesh out backstory or character develpment, and in the case of siblings, showing us what true love is.
Let's see how interesting this one is!

Not very, apparently. I'll surpass you blah blah no u blah.

Can't even hit the broadside of a wagon.

There, I fulfilled my duty of showing you another murder you voted on. Unfortunately he retreats, but that just means I get to kill him next chapter, too!
MEANWHILE, IN CASTLE GREYSKULL'S BASEMENT ROOM

A talking door!

No, wait, just a badass.

Someone who talks too much?

I don't even know why I try to time the screenshots so they're peeking out at us like they're trying to hide BUT I CAN'T STOP.

Again, the difference between the two is obvious. Lance wigs out in front of normal people, Alan does it while ghostbusting.
Now, I feel that though this is a tactics game, you don't get very much of it in this screenshot format. So let's rectify that.

Here we see Roy moving up to divert hits away from the low hp cavaliers (but nobody attacks him willingly so that fails anyway), while Dieck makes sure Marcus can't be surrounded on all sides. Lugh is hiding behind Bors since he's fragile as hell and can't really move farther anyway. Bors still has no weapon equipped, guaranteeing at least one enemy will attack him, again diverting attacks from the cavs, and is on the bridge so he can't be surrounded and killed. Wolt was rescued by Alan and brought over to Ellen for healing (healing Alan, that is, though Wolt also need it). Lot is distanced so only one cav can attack him, assuming the Nomad passes him over. He's also moving up to meet with Marcus to give him an axe and take his Silver lance. Meanwhile, Otherfighter, who has been stripped of his weapons too, stands back and does nothing, but presses forward to avoid something that happens later. Offscreen, Tana dropped Chad off at the forts south of here last turn.
Wow, that was actually rather boring. No wonder I don't show more of what's going on in detail.

SHOPPI- Wait, Bow pony can reach me from here! Um okay, what else can I do.

I CAN move there but that's even stupider than going to the store.

You may be wondering, why move here? And why the funny movement pattern to reach it? NO REASON WHATSOEVER I ASSURE YOU.

Wow, how lucky! Had he hit I could have died! Hahaha. Haha. Ha...
NO REASON WHATSOEVER.
Also, apparently the RNG decides who they attack too, because the first time they DIDN'T attack Bors. NOT THAT THERE WAS A FIRST TIME. OR AN RNG. SHUTUP. Oh and apparently Laus boners have legs missing.
MEANWHILE AT CASTLE GREYSKULL

HATRED

That you shutup and run, maybe?
Let's see how my guys are doing now that her turn is over.

Let's see, blank/blank hp? That seems about right.

Dieck is coming along nicely, if only every character's RS actually, you know, grew along with the rest of their stats.

Haha no

Shit staying still will kill me too! But where can I go, except...
SHOPPING!

Zoinks, p-p-p-pirates!

M-m-m-missing!

This scenario seems very familiar, but with added bitchyness.

You tell her Merlinus! Wait, I'm siding with Merlinus? Wait, you're still here?

"I'm having some deja vu here, I think I know where this is headed."

Yes, it's all coming back to me now, with Ellen, but more tusundre.
Now, I didn't actually visit these houses, but here's what it would look like if I did!

Wow, archers really are halfassing it if everyone wants Nomads over them.

No, enlighten me.

So... the point of combat is that there are buster weapons out there?
AND BACK TO THINGS THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED

Angel robe to be used later. I dunno, vote on it or something.

There's a funny story behind this crit. But now is not the place for that.

Bringing the Sun to the people, Solaire would be proud.

Why yes, I am using items. HOW DOES IT FEEL, HOARDERS?

Now I don't have much to say about his thrilling conversation skills; they speak for themselves. What I would like to point out, though, is something that managed to kill me on my first playthrough on Normal Mode. In future games, reinforcements show up
after the enemy's turn. Here? They show up at the beginning of their turn. SO, while normally you have a chance to outrun a nigh guaranteed crit machine, here? Not so much.
Also, in a previous attempt, I was going to kill Marcus here by letting Rutger crit him to death. I even set him up with an iron axe and everything. But you know what happened? YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED? Rutger missed, and Marcus got a crit. Such unplanned BS I have never seen except that one other time and like a few others actually not that uncommon, I was too stunned to even take a screenshot of it coherently, so I just shelved the "kill Marcus" plan.

My real reason for bringing Chad south has been revealed: GRINDING.
Anyway, for those at home that didn't realize yet that we're getting a new teammate soon, let's put the final piece of info that would tip off a player without a guide that you can recruit him.

If we're getting a new member, let's compare him to our three other powerhouses (not counting Lot or Marcus)

Let's see, his STR is on par with Lance, his con is lower than everyone's, his SPD and SKL surpass Dieck's, and he's 4 levels lower than him. Pretty good I'd say. Let's recruit him! And bust some ghosts!

No, he has a HATRED against Bern.

Bitch did he stutter?

Well, badass#2, Rutger, has joined the party! Let's test him out!

Did I say badass#2? I meant #1. Sorry Dieck.

More strategy here: I had planned on Tana rescuing Clairne, But she couldn't move far enough to save her AND avoid enemy fire, so Dieck rescued her a space closer to Tana, so Tana could receive her and get away safely.

Killstealing, what lows won't Roy stoop too?

He's gonna be King of the Pirates.

Nonono, you're supposed to
not be afraid of no ghosts.

0% hit rate. Why does the AI even bother attacking when hit rate is 0%?

Haha, oh Wolt, you joker you.

And this is how I recruited an entire village of people. Sadly they closed the gate and couldn't leave their vilalge.

Here we see him get down and funky, a very rewarding experience.

Well he went down fast. Must be because Narshen didn't praise his efforts.

He hasn't lost any HP, he's just regaining the point he earned a bit ago.

Finally, goddam. I feel this would have gone by much faster were it not for recruiting Clairne and Rutger and all their daises talking.
OH BUT IT'S NOT OVER YET.

"Order the troops to slaughter them. Run some over with your wagon if possible."

"Recruiting their enemy's troops, what kind of scum are they?"
"..."
"Not now Rutger."

PLOT.

NEXT TIME
TITLE DROP
But I cna't help but feel I've forgotten something...
Nah, must be imagining things.

"...Guys?"
