I think you should use seth
it's the boss, so he'll have a better chance of hitting Erika. I haven't played sacred stones in awhile though

Allow Eirika to take the one hit (since I doubt he can do all 17 damage or double attack), heal her with a vulnerary, repeat. The more EXP you can get for a low level character the better.

Ok, what to do...

Looks like two hits from that guy's axe could earn me a game over. There isn't a high chance of him actually hitting Eirika though.

I have Eirika wait, and end my turn.

Ah, he is so full of himself. Lets bring him to his knees.

Ka-stab! She actually did more damage then this but you can't tell.

Two more hits should bring him down. But the same still applies for Eirika, so I will let him attack first again.

Ok, how should I go about this battle?

have erika go into the brigands range but not the soldiers, swords are weak to lances but strong against axes

Houses give a bit of avoid, and contain useful hints, so let's see what they have to say.

Eirika gets attacked, and completely destroys the attacker.

Franz arrived with Gilliam.

Well I wouldn't say crawling.



Everyone's attack ranges.

Send in Gilliam after the soldier and move Franz closer to Seth and Eirika.

Move Eirika over to the fighter and move Seth near the soldier.

I keep taking screenshots while the health bar is still going down. But by the time the health is fully depleted the attacker has already got back into a defending position. Oh well.


I have Franz finish off the soldier, although he could have beat it by himself if he had attacked instead of Gilliam.

The battle animations for horsemen are so odd.


Lets have Eirika attack this Fighter.


She kills it.

Augh that was a bad level up.

One of the soldiers in front of the castle attacks Franz,

And is promptly stabbed in the face with a lance.

This fighter also got near so I have Franz attack him.



And Eirika finish him off.

And then I have Seth trade with Franz, and change around Franz's weapons so that his lance is first. This is a trick I like to use a lot.


The other soldier goes over and attacks Eirika.

Ouch.

I kill him.

Apparently we were playing hide and seek. And I was caught straggling.

Ok, lets see.

The fighters range.

The soldier's range. It is a little smaller than the fighters, so it would be best to put a sword user in range, then worry about the soldier later.

I put Franz within range of the fighters, with a sword.

And put Eirika on the fort to heal.

One of the fighters attacks Franz.


Big mistake.

Eirika kills the other one.

Franz finishes off the one that attacked him.

I use the weapon trading trick again to switch Franz back to a lance.

Oop the soldier attacked Eirika. I thought I had her defended fully.

It died.

Gilliam's chances of success against the boss don't look good.

Meanwhile, Seth has virtually no chance of losing. Although bosses give good exp, and Seth doesn't get good exp. Better let Eirika handle this.

If I attacked first, Eirika could die. I'll let the boss attack first.

I have her wait next to him.

Your face is a worthless cur. And I've been assigned the task of annihilating YOU.

TL;DR: Eirika wants to go join her brother on the battlefield and asks for soldiers, but the king doesn't have any spares. He ends up giving her Moulder, Vanessa, and Gilliam to go on her adventure with her.

Ok, how should I go about this mission?

use vanessa to pick up ross and bring him to eirika
then have vanessa bring ross's dad to eirika
have eirika speak to both of them

Actually, have Eirika only speak to Ross, then have Vanessa rescue Garcia and have Ross talk to him once he gets over the mountains.

Send Seth over to visit the villages and get items from them, and have Franz and Gilliam head for the village down at the bottom of the map before the bandits reach it.
