The Skull Kid just looks cool

And it's not just the Skull Kid, but the Skull Kid with Majora's Mask. They're a good duo. Especially what they did to the Zoras.

What did Majora actually do? Maybe that kinda stuff happens to bands all the time, falling moon or no falling moon.

Cursed the lead singer, stole unborn Zora babies, motivated the pirates to keep watch over the eggs by telling them that there was treasure in the Great Bay Temple. Which there wasn't really. So even if the Gerudos found all the eggs, I bet they'd just wander into the temple and then get eaten by Gyorgg. Also, there was the whole curse on the ocean that made it all murky and made all the fish flee. Maybe they only did that to the water around the coast, but still, it takes some skill to curse the ocean.

Hey man, all I know is that all of the stuff you have to do before entering a dungeon in that game was really complex.
