Well of course they're more advanced. But arcades are much more fun, IMO. You have an actual social atmosphere.
Not really. Not that much more than you'd get online. Besides, the only real social interaction is milling around the eight Tekken 6 machines waiting for a free spot to open up, then getting beat in the first and third round. Unless you go with friends.

There's a half decent one at my uni, but closest proper one would be near Town Hall. Two actually, across the street.

Back in my hometown, there used to be a pretty awesome arcade/laser tag place.

They had the 6 player X-Men game.

Nightcrawler kicks booty.

Also, The Simpsons game at Chuck E. Cheese. I had the high score. :awesome:

There's a nickelcade around the corner from me. That's right, an arcade where you only use nickels!
It's epic.
Also, simpsons is where it's at.

Also, a local skating rink had that Megaman arcade game. The one where you're Megaman, Bass, or Protoman and you fight bosses.

Has anyone else played this?

There's a place called Wonderland that's a few miles away from my house. They have a tiny shooting gallery, a DDR machine, Lasertag upstairs, and Minigolf in the basement.

Not to mention a whole different room just for the joystick style arcade games and the air hockey table. I went there a couple of times with my little cousin.

I went to an arcade about a month ago and they had the original House of the Dead there. I think I wasted about $10 in quarters to beat it. Good times.

I have an arcade here. it kinda sucks a lot. has few actual games outside of some racing games and one or two shooting games. everything else is just token-eating ticket-producers. and the prizes suck too so it's not even worth that.

they used to have galaga and centipede here, and it was amazing. too bad they got rid of those. at least I still have Ms. Pac-Man to cheer me up.

Also air hockey, but that just feels so out of place there.

I find it kinda sad I have PS2 collections of arcade games that I bought for 6 dollars used that are better than the one arcade in town.
