I think my favorite thing about the Best Friends' Life is Strange playthrough ending soon isn't going to be seeing their reactions to the ending, but rather that they can stop complaining about Warren. A lot of their hate for him seems unwarranted and way overblown; a psychologist could have a field day with the way they feel about and react to him.

Don't you mean unWARRENted?

But yeah, I think they've run the joke into the ground. They talked about it on the podcast some, but Liam seems to dislike him based mostly on his "nice guy" (as in, "yo I'm nice to you, now go out with me Max") personality, which I understand and can agree with. But they don't need to mention it every 5 seconds.

Not when they have Hawt Dawg Man.

ProtonJon streamed the best worst game ever. I want him to do a tournament with all custom characters.

The Best Friends spent 10,000 dollars on getting their character The Baz into the game Indivisible which has 4 days left to go on its crowdfunding campaign, and I'm not actually excited about it. All I'm thinking of instead is "Wow, you guys could have spent that cheddar on that full-on office you've been needing to get."

Edit: to further elaborate, I think that backer characters in Kickstarter games, even if they're fiddled with to fit in the world, actively cheapen the experience.

To be fair, they have said that they wanted to use the Vessel cheddar to get the office space, and that they haven't received the cheddar from Vessel yet. So this cheddar is their personal cheddar as far as I know. They just want the game to be made.

As for adding backer characters, I can see where you're coming from (I saw one ninja backer character in Shovel Knight that just screamed "OC DO NOT STEAL" - that one was bad). But I like Zubaz so I'm pretty biased in his favor, I'll admit.

Liam and Woolie are playing the Metal Slug games and while I love them, I've learned I can't stand watching people play games I'm good at and flop all over it. I know they're playing for a crowd, but something about it bugs me on a deep level. Imma still keep it on in the background tho.

Woolie and Oat apparently decided to play Minecraft: Story Mode and for some reason Woolie seems to be tweeting about it like it was some crime against humanity. Is the game really that bad or is it just because they're old people who can't tolerate anything that's Minecraft?

After having seen the episode in question, it appears that while some of it is their general dislike/lack of interest in Minecraft, most of it comes from their being burnt out on Telltale games.

Now, I have no knowledge or interest in Minecraft either, but even I can sort of see the way Telltale's formula is making for a rather predictable and unengaging story. It's only the first episode so it might pick up after this, so who knows.

That said, since I'm not invested in Minecraft, it's worth watching it just to hear Pat and Woolie joke about stuff, but I can definitely seeing this stirring up controversy with people who get mad at them for not liking what they like or whatever.

Holy shit, the Zaibatsu read my question on the podcast!

...Unfortunately, it was my lamest one. (I have a few questions that I keep mentally, but only remember to send one in every few months.)

Remember on friendcast ep. 25 when they received a question about fighting a gorilla using nothing but their clones? That was mine.

Matt of the Super Best Friends is taking a break from the channel due to stress and other such things. He'll apparently be back later and with some new ideas he's cooked up to add more variety to their content line-up. I don't like that idea.

Matt's interests and tastes are very different from those of his co-workers. He's more heavily geared towards movies and TV while Pat, Woolie, and Liam are full-on into videogames, and I've always felt like he was "from another era" of the Internet, from the days when AVGN was super huge. I'm worried that, once he returns, Matt will attempt to emulate Cinemassacre with middling results and it could make other content suffer.

I can't blame him honestly, Omikron will take a lot out of a person.
