I don't recall ever having this problem, though I did give up when a glitch stole Garrus' weapons and crashed the game if I ever tried to replace them.

I can't tell if this is ME1 or ME2, and for some reason that bugs me.
All Krogans look the same to me.
Garrus is missing his scars, so I'm guessing the first game.
