Fairly certain Frog's goofy medievaboo talk is more 90's localization shenanigans. I'd bet that in the original he probably talked in some high class flowery japanese dialect and this was what the translation team came up with to convey that.

In the original japanese version, his speech behavior is actually pretty normal. Not too different from your regular shounen protagonist, with a touch of mercenary feel. At the very least, "omaetachi" (お前達) is definitely not the japanese equivalent of "thee", it would rather be something like "onushira" (お主ら) or "nanjira" (汝ら).

That was my two cents as the lurker that knows japanese.
