I was gonna make an edit with all the text replaced with Emoji, but none of my image editing software properly supports Emoji. Best I could do is black and white, but that just doesn't work. Why is technology so far behind my brilliant ideas?

They spent the budget on licensing A-Ha songs. You can have an iDroid with improved functionality and you can have an iDroid that plays Take On Me but you can't have both.

Katie has a job, and it isn't this. She doesn't need to do the whole mad dash to be the first to touch something in order to stay relevant. Also have no recollection of her ever doing an E3 referencing comic, but then again, she may have and I didn't know because I never pay any daisies attention to E3.
Edit: Also I believe she has a backlog? And I don't know how many comics she's already made in advance. So it may be possible a bunch of MGSV comics got made at a time as that's what she was playing at the time she made them.

Maybe Bloodstained will fare better.

Maybe we would have more variety of edits if more people made edits with jokes other than "the forum makes too many of the same edits." In fact, I think that's now our number one most common edit, surpassing even Entei.

I think the most recent new running gag in edits is Long Neck Caesar. Please someone come up with a new one just so I don't have to see his stupid neck ever again! But edits that aren't running gags, and have actual jokes instead, are good too... I guess.

Edit: Also yeah Katie makes comics anywhere from a week to a month in advance. If you had ever been around in January you'd probably notice that it takes several weeks each year for the copyright date on the comics to match the actual year, which is because she dates them when she draws them. (This year it only took one week, but last year it took three weeks, because she had a larger backlog.)

She never really makes comics about new games anyway. This isn't a comic about gaming culture, it's a comic about her favorite games.

Video game comics that have made jokes about pre-Awakening Fire Emblem and Advance Wars can be counted on one hand. I'd rather get jokes about "game Katie likes" then "Game that just came out".

As much as I complain about the overuse of Metal Gear comics, I should point out that Katie warned me

"I hope you're excited for six months of nothing but comics about METAL GEARRRRR"

(At the time I thought she was playfully exaggerating)

Must have all gone towards Kaz's Mexican Taqueria chain.
