I'm surprised product placement in video games is not a thing yet in the states. They love slapping their logos on anything from soccer field walls to Daytona cars, but video games are still considered forbidden territory for some reason.

Actually, it has been, for years. The sports games have had them since around the PS1/Saturn/N64 days, the Bionic Commando reboot had Pepsi product placement up the wazoo, and even Obama had a billboard ad in Burnout Paradise for when he was running in '08.

I remember I had a old Platformer called Zool, it was one of those "We're totally gonna beat Sonic into the dust..." games, the first world had ads for Chupa Chups ALL OVER the place it was just tragic. Though the game itself was fun
