Wait, how can they go home if they are trapped inside the fortress?

I dunno. Portals I guess?

Also, there needs to be an edit where there is an entei outside but the soldiers cant get to it cause the kid is in the way or something. Thats all I really got right now. :/

That's what editing is for. Big ol' button that says "edit". Gotta be logged in to see it though, in case you're like me and never log in except to post then log back out immediately.

SPEAKING OF EDITS

So, what I'm gathering is that they needed reinforcements to take on Hector, and when they discovered the job was done, (by finding half his torso), they had nothing left to do.

Meh, the soldiers would have died in five seconds anyway as.
Edit idea:The soldiers manage to get out of the fort, but find Berserker Ross, General Amelia, and Sage Ewan in front of the fort. The soldiers run back into the fort.

The back door. All red-colored countries specifically train all citizens to do things with very specific sets of directions. The main gate of a fort is the "to war!" door, and that door is recognized as the door one goes through when going to war.

The back door of a fortress is the civilian door. Until entering through this door, one is considered no more than an average peasant. Walking in through this door is equivalent to signing up to fight for HIS/HER MAJESTY and they are automatically assigned weapons and armor.

One of the rules that are lesser-known outside the Red Kingdoms that you must always go through doors single-file. No pushing, no shoving, and no cutsies. These rules are ingrained in their culture and are met with harsh punishment for failing to abide since early childhood (starting at age 4).

As such, the only option left for them is to go back. None of the army's equipment is to leave the fort except through the main gate in front. So they must put it all away in the armoury. And just as walking in through the back door puts you into royal service to fight for your country, walking back through it is seen as resigning your military position and entering a wartime retirement. At this point, the Red Kingdoms' militaries see these former soldiers permanently as civilians and will no longer allow them back into battle.

That about covers it.

Edit: HEY, I DID A THING. And I totally didn't take the idea from an above post!

Oops no editing ability

Also the Hector jokes seem to be taken. I was gonna do one with one soldier remembering his dreadful experience with Hector and then deciding to go home.

Then that Hector wouldn't be the real Hector, because there is no way Hector would let some incompetent soldier live.

If that was the case, wouldn't we see a green unit come out and run off?

What if there was a huge tunnel system under every Fire Emblem continent that only the enemies know about and can operate, somehow? Maybe they put their actual skilled named characters down there to guard it, while naming the incompetent ones 'Bandit' and 'Soldier' and sending them to fight your legion?

If you saw an angry head guarding the door leading out of your fort, would you go out?

Eh, it feels like it's missing something. A little something that makes Entei edits feel more like, well, Entei edits.
