The first time I used Pokemon Amie was with a Shedinja, which is the WORST one to use with it. It has no animation other than slightly tilting when you do and it can't eat anything, there isn't even a fullness bar for it. I maxed out his hearts so it might survive some hits but it was a long time doing activities and then patting him.
