Really because I would've thought this would be the reason why Pierce would murder ANYONE

But that has happened to me a couple of times, albeit what happened to me was the following. Melba gave me a shirt that I had no desire for (The Moldy shirt), so I sell it to Re-Tail flea market. Marshall buys the shirt from Re-Tail and it becomes furniture. Then Marshall had me deliver something that Melba left behind...what was this item? A Moldy shirt, which she now wears. CURSE YOU MOLDY SHIRT AND YOUR UGLINESS! Moral of the story: Just burn the shirt instead of selling it, you'll feel much much better afterwards.
