Oh my goodness, now I feel terrible! D: I suppose they must use the rupees they drop as currency, as well, and I guess the hearts are their actual, well, hearts? Kind of morbid. And those skull necklaces, joy pendants, and knight's crests must be fashionable for their kind. I have to wonder why they act so uncivilized around Link, then. I mean, I know he's been slaying them for years, so that's a perfectly good reason to try and kill him, but what about the first Octorok that fell to his blade? Or the first Moblin? What were their reasons for attacking him?

They could have just STOLEN them ya know.

... Well now I feel just stupid. Why didn't I think of that? I don't see why they'd be interested in stealing kinstones, though.

I never really kept track of what enemies dropped kinstones and what didn't.. I never used em much.

On a side note anyone else notice that despite the lack of hostility in the last panel Link is still panicking quite hardcore?

And anyone else find his face REALLY red in the last two? (I know it's shadowing.. it just looks more red.)

I often hoped that fusing kinstones would just unfreeze Zelda, defeat Vaati and/or un-hatify Elzo. They can do all sorts of magic after all, why not that?

But nooo~oo all they did was spawn a freakin' golden Octorock.

I wonder what happened to the Kinstones in the other games though, go out of style or something? Hope it didn't negatively impact the Minish anyhoo. what with them being sustained by human happiness.. which is pretty freaky, now I come to think of it.

They did, however, give you access to ~awesome sword skills~. At least I think that was from kinstones.

About them going out of fashion: maybe they just ran out? You know, as in, all of them were fused. Then Hyliankind's happiness was no longer boosted by their magic and there happened redeads, the most unfun thing to grace Zelda. (Except in Majora's Mask.)
