Ok, so this is a forum where you ask the public about your comic. So, what I want to say has nothing to do with it but I still hope it will help you to get better. First, stop asking others about what they think about your art. Your art is your art. If you don't like it yourself, then change it with your preferance but don't ask people about it. Yes, they can help you but this is just to much. You must accept your style even if some people doesn't like it. Someone once say to me that if you want to become a real good artist, you must never look about the others opinion and just think about your art. Do what you want, ugly or not, if it can make you pop flyin'. That's what art is for.

ps: Sorry, I'm not really good in taking in english but I still hope you can understand my point.

Well, "BOB," I don't mean to rain on your parade, but these little speeches that everyone gives eachother, while touching and nice, do very little to stimulate change.

Any artist will criticize themselves. If they don't, they got an over-inflated ego and need it deflated.

Also, I rarely see Katie asking people about the comic and for comments and criticism. I believe she seems pleased doing her own thing. I won't speak for her, since this will either get closed or will get a reply from Katie, but that is just my thoughts on the matter.

And it's too hard to resist, so now I quote Reboot.

"Whoa! Could you repeat that in plain DOS?"

This thread and or post seems kinda pointless when no ones really bothered Katie about how shes draws. Just sayin'. Out of the blue motivational posts are just silly.

Yes RabidNintendoFanboy your the best artist ever.

If Picasso or Van gogh would have listen to others, well, you know what would have happened. What makes them good was that they didn't care about others opinions. Everything can be art, even what RabidNintendoFanboy made.

Also, Christoph, if Katy wouldn't care about what others people thought, we wouldn't have this discussion because she made this forum for this.

I appreciate the intent, but I do want to keep getting better and that's not going to happen without a second opinion or two.

What I've heard is that a good artist is never truly pop flyin' with what he produces, and I'm okay with that.

If Van Gogh had listened to other people he probably would've thought he'd never sell a single piece and then cut his ear off in deep depression, heh. And Picasso didn't have to listen to anyone because he pretty much mastered academic realism at age 14.

Bob Ross didn't have to be pop flyin' with his work, that was the job of the trees.

Bob, I'm not going to ask for your credentials as an artist. But in REAL art communities, people are open to criticism. It helps you grow as an artist, and as a human being.

My God, I can't believe I'm criticizing your criticism of Katie's tendencies to accept criticism. OH GOD I CAN CRITICIZE FOREVER!!

Don't care too much and don't care too little.

Care just enough to know art is something that can never be mastered, so you'll always be improving.

End of my "critism", which sucks. Thread now lock, plzktnx?
