I liked this one, actually. Simple, but it's always fun to read Katie's comics, as her art style is pretty cool.

I like my glass sword too much, so I never bothered with alchemy, but I just couldn't resist filling up one of my houses with Daedra hearts and Clanfear claws. And Mother's Head from that Dark Brotherhood quest. Oh the morbidity.

There's actually a way to make your character godlike amongst all others without cheating. The problem is you have to start doing it from the very beginning of the game and it makes the beginning of the game a bit harder.

Whenever you level up, the world levels up and everything you fight gets stronger. Also, you only level up when your major skills increase. So the problem is when you level up.

The solution: When you make a character, make all your major skills things you're never going to use, that way you won't level up, the skills you do use will max out at level one and the monsters your fight will never get any stronger.

Why won't skills you do use level up?

Depending on what class you choose, skills are designated as "major" or "minor" (for instance, a bard would have Speechcraft and Alchemy as major skills and Maces and Smithing as minor skills, and vice versa for a warrior). Leveling your major skills will actually count towards leveling up as a character, but leveling minor skills won't.

(It is sort of problematic)

I just level up randomly and get raped in the end and then resort to cheat codes to make everything bow to my will...

That explains why my character is such a terribly low level.

Yeah, when I made Charlie Manhuge's class for the Oblivion LP thread, I made the mistake of choosing major skills that would be used A LOT (Hand-To-Hand, Light Armor, Heavy Armor, Destruction, Restoration, Sneak, Security), which is probably why he leveled up ridiculously quickly.

Luckily, I still able to keep up with the world due to the fact that all the major skills I had chosen had to do with a variety of attributes. Thus, by training my minor skills often between each level up, the stat bonuses I received each level were large enough that Charlie didn't end up decimated by everything and everyone.

So, basically, another solution is to make sure your stat bonuses are huge. It works something like this: If, for example, you wanted to train your strength, you would, in between levels, train all your skills that were governed by strength (Blade, Hand-To-Hand, etc). This would give you a larger bonus to strength when you leveled up (IF you choose to increase strength.)

Honestly, I kind of like the way Oblivion handles leveling. It stops the game from getting to easy. I just hate how it makes frenzy spells useless at higher levels.

Decimated is a funny word, isn't it? I mean it sounds rather sinister, but it's just 1/10ths, which isn't really much.

When I played Oblivion I got turned into a vampire. As I was doing the quest to get the cure I couldn't go somewhere because the place was closed for the night, so I decided to use the wait-function outside until morning.

I found a pretty dead main character. Nice.

I honeslty haven't been able to take vampires seriously ever since I accidently viewed 2 seconds of Twilight. No matter how many times I spray my eyes with Windex, they never feel quite clean.

On a completely different note... If cheese is equal to fire resistance, then logic must dictate that roast turkey is equal to water resistance! Unbelievable!!!
