One more step, the Regigigas is standing to full height with Katie awkwardly standing on it's head.

Link opens a Treasure Chest. Link holds his find above his head.

Samus, Dedede, Ganondorf and Bowser sit on the couch eating various snacks while watching TV. Ganondorf and Bowser are arguing the finer points of something stupid. Dedede and Samus are more focused on the food. Samus brings out a large turkey leg. Her eyes turn red and she grows Metroid fangs. She bites down on the leg and drains its life force. It turns gray and crumbles to dust. Ganondorf and Bowser continue their argument unaware. Dedede scoots away from Samus.

Ryu Done It?/Grand Assault Auto/Street Fight or Flight:
The Smash crew find an envelope and open it to read a menacing letter that reads:
"Challenger Approaching"
They hear screams, crunching, and glass breaking. They run outside to find Captain Falcon a bruised mess.
MARTH: "Someone beat up Falcon!"
IKE: "Who could do that?"
SAMUS: "Someone beat up his car!"
The Blue Falcon has seen better days.
MARIO: "Who would do that?!"
In the shadows of the Street we see the silhouette of a Fighter.

I like this idea, but maybe have it with the ridiculousness of how while most legendaries are hidden away, some legendaries are just kind of there.

Katie enters regigigas temple (platinum) and sees huge regigigas statue, and makes it come to life
"gaurdian" or gym leader of snowpoint city: "what? how did you know it was a real pokemon, and how did you know it was here!"
Katie: well, getting it awake was hard, but i mean, it's only like a 5-minute walk in here, not too hard to find really
(pokemon x/y in pokemon reserve) Huh, look at that, a tiny cave, i wonder what's in-(sees mewtwo in tiny cave)...well that wasn't hard"

Panel shows Ryu, sitting in a lounge chair and covered in burns, cuts from broken glass, reading some kind of newspaper.
FALCON [offpanel]: Do you know who did it?
RYU: Haven't the foggiest.
FALCON: The search continues.

ending2:
Ryu starts to walk in, ready to introduce himself
FALCON: If I find the punk who did this, he's a dead man.
Ryu turns around midstride to exit.

I knew the context, except there has to be a punchline or else it's just "Insert reference here" which isn't funny.

Katie goes to a pokemon center. She gives her pokemon to Nurse Joy. A few moments later Nurse Joy returns the pokemon.
KATIE: "How do you heal them so fast?"
NURSE JOY: "We, uh, have advanced healing technology."
We see that the healing machine is actually a cardboard box with a man hiding inside that uses revives and elixir on the injured pokemon.
