Toon Link is out on the Great Sea, he then comes across one of those skull tower outpost things

He goes to clear it out, leaving the king of red lions behind. A monster (preferably one of those creepy flying things) then attacks him. Cue Link coming back to a destroyed boat

I don't know if Katie likes the Mario series, but we should have a comic about toad houses disappearing after use.

There Goes The Neighborhood
Panel One: 2 toads are staring at a former toad house site.
"You ever wonder why these houses disappear after Mario visits them?"
Panel Two: Mario walks in a oneup toad house after paying star coins. The toad tells him to headbutt the blocks for one ups.
Panel Three: Mario headbutts the first block and gets a bowser block, giving no one ups.
Panel Four: Toad says "Sorry, that's just bad luck!"
Panel Five: Mario pulls out a fire flower and burns down the house.

As far as I know Katie doesn't play F.T.L. (excellent game by the way), but I've had this idea in my head for months.

1st panel:
Captain Katie is standing next to an ensign in the engine room which is damaged and covered in blaster fire. The ensign is badly wounded, bleeding everywhere, has an arm in a sling and mantis claw protruding from chest, etc.
Katie: "Great work Ensign, you did an excellent job repelling the enemy boarding party, though it seems like you are now on the brink of death."
2nd panel: continued dialogue
Katie: (contemplating out loud) "It's a shame I replaced the medical bay with a clonebay. If a stray shot lands in this room, you'll die and our engines will be unmanned for 12 seconds - "
Ensign: "That's alright captain. My death would be quick and painless. I'd die with honor while serving at my station."
3rd panel: Katie pushes Ensign into an empty corridor.
Katie: "Don't worry Ensign, we'll find a way to handle this. But for now let's get you out of this room - you're bleeding everywhere."
Ensign: "Thank you captain. I knew you'd think of something."
4th Panel: Ensign is alone. There is a blast door behind him.
Ensign: "Captain?"
5h Panel: The blast door (and others doors behind it) open, revealing a long corridor which leads out to open space. Air is whooshing out of the ship.
Optional Panel: Katie is glancing at her wrist watch.
6th Panel: Katie is standing inside of the clonebay. Ensign stumbles out of clone machine naked and covered in clone fluid(?)
Katie: "Feeling better?"
Ensign: "No"
Optional - "Great. Back to your posts everyone."

Octo Sass/Pieces of Eight:
Master Hand announces 8-way Smash Battles.
MARTH: "Finally. We shall see who is truly greatest."
Eight Marths in different outfits pose on the battlefield.

Spy gets lit on fire and pyro airblasts him, but that blows out his cigarette.

Variation on previous idea

Bricks of Gold:
Mario sees a P-Switch in front of a huge wall of bricks. Steps on the P-Switch. All the bricks turn into coins. Mario runs and collects all the coins. He stuffs all the coins into a sack slung over his shoulder. P-switch wears off. The coins turn back into bricks. Mario gets crushed.

So, I found an English translation of Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals for Game Boy Advance. I used Roy to talk to an enemy that actually had a face (like every other Fire Emblem game). However, she stayed an enemy. It didn't help that I originally played the game in Japanese with very limited Japanese-reading skills, which confused me even more. So, the comic: Roy goes up to talk to the thief, talks to her, she doesn't defect to the righteous cause, and he says something along the lines of: Something must be wrong here... It's a lot like the comic with Lyn and Guy, but it was great fun for me.

Better idea: Roy turns to his comrades with this smug "I got this" face, walks up to her with some hammed up way of saying "join us" (like, almost to the point of it sounding like a bad pick-up line), and she's all "NOPE," stabs him in the gut, takes his wallet, and runs.

Also Roy should have an overly bolded and heavily shaded face of betrayal during the stab. It will please us.

Ah! That's very true! Much better! Comedian, I am not! But I do appreciate good humor.

OOPS NO TITLE (Super Mario 3D Land):
Mario gets tanooki suit. Sees goomba with tanooki tail.
"What"
Sees bullet bill with tanooki tail.
"WHAT"
Sees bowser with tanooki tail.
"Why does everything have a t-"
Looks at his tanooki suit. Sees that his tail has a tail.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT"

Tactful:
Fire Emblem characters look at figurines on maps.
"We need new tactics."
Another character pours container of Tic-Tacs onto the map.
