You know how in Ocarina of Time, each Sage runs off somewhere into the Temple and disappears? Like, Daruina goes into the Boss room, Impa's already in the Temple, etc? Well, Ruto swims up to a dead end. AND SHE'S NO LONGER THERE AFTER THAT. SO, UH, I SUPPOSE SOMETHING FUNNY CAN BE MADE FROM THAT. MAYBE.[/i]

Come to think of it, how does Link automatically know how to use a boomerang? His skills with swords can be explained away in most games since all he really does is slash (and in TP, he gets a master to show him the tougher manuevers).

The slingshot, bow and arrow, the fish rod, etc. can be explained away in that they're usually either magical or he grew up in the boonies (hence, the occassional hunting and/or fishing skills would probably be picked up at some point)

Seriously, a boomerang is insanely difficult to get used to throwing, let alone CATCHING, and most of the time, you don't start with the magical boomerang. You usually start with a normal boomerang and get an upgrade later on.
