It's like if one comic is perfect and updates three times a week, the next comic sucks because it doesn't have the same quality or update frequency.

VG Cats makes me smile or laugh every time I happen to stumble across the archive.

I like Scott's artwork and couldn't care less if the comic didn't update once every week, although I have to agree that it's getting ridiculous how long it's been between the last few comics.

My opinion of course...

I like VGCats but, AZ much more, as it actually updates.
Scott's art is better, but the humor now is about the same.

Also the Fetus Five kick total booty.

You know what I do hate, people who show VGC's april fool's CAD style strip as a reason why VGC OMFG SUX SOOOO BAD!!!11one

Even though this has nothing to do with comics or whatever, I'd feel better about VGCats updating once every menstrual cycle if his first big announcement after coming back with an amusing filler comic for SE and a guest comic was to take Penny-Arcade's sentiments expressed in their Metroid: Other M comic and use it as his entire opinion for Nintendo's E3 conference. Why quasi-important internet celebrities would rather keep ignoring the existence New Super Mario Bros Wii instead of continuing what made them celebrities hurts my feeble human brain. I did forgive him after that epic Arceus picture in the next comic, but I still feel the pain.

Also the fact that he keeps drawing ugly things so well that they produce similar effects to chugging ipecac. The most recent comic does that in spades. I DON'T WANT TO PUKE AT MUTANT HOOKERS! I WANT PRETTY THINGS THAT MAKE ME FEEL FAT FROM HOW SUGARY THEY ARE!

As a side note, lurking has shown me that more of the critique of Katie's comics seems to have to do with her jokes than her art. Then again, I could just be imagining it.

VGcats being dead as hell is kind of a dealbraker for me. But I do understand that he really doesn't have an obligation to post a comic every week, it's totally his perogative. I just don't read it now.

I hate it when a comic runs pretty regular for a while, stops, begins again with promises of love and devotion then stops again LIKE A HUGE JERK!

This isn't the worst webcomics thread.

I -kind of- like VG Cats and sometimes I check out the archives for the kicks or even those videos where the comics gain voices for their respective characters. (Scott actually mentioned those lately).

His comics are decent, to say the least and his artstyle is quite cool but, it just feels like he's not committed to doing comics as much as back then. There's only one update per month, two if we are lucky but then, it just looks like he rushes everything just to get it done then it's more waiting time until the next comic is ready to be rushed out.

Kind of reminds of a comic his wife (or girlfriend, not sure) made making fun of him not updating constantly.

It's cause the VG cats are for everyone AND upstanding members of society.

I like to read the old Garfield comics. But I hate Nermal. FFFFFfffff egotistical little whelp!

I'm pretty sure Nermal was designed so you will hate him.


After all, he is pretty much the anti-Garfield.
