Hmm... I'm not sure now. To me it just sounds like Ganondorf(TP) reincarnated in FSA, but didn't have the power necessary to take over the world, and obtained the power he needed by getting the trident from the ancient pyramid... though it is odd that the trident shows up out of nowhere, considering it has not been present at all during this timeline. I still don't really see there being 2 of him unless we're talking about a missing story element, or dimension jumping into the "Hero is defeated" timeline. I don't know, It's been a long time since I last played it, so I don't really remember it. Guess it's time to dust off the Gamecube.

@64 Bit Gamer: Personally, I don't really see anything different enough between incarnations of Link that would make me think he's a different "person" in some of the games. Is there anything particular that points you towards this theory? I mean, I don't really think the enemy matters much. Link and Zelda come back when Demise is interfering with the events of the world at large, whether it's him directly (via Ganon/dorf), or just some of his underlings (such as Vaati).

Meh, it mainly goes back to the fact that the Hero's Shade and Twilight Link both existed at the same time. I figured that if that were true, there would have to be a couple different incarnations of him. But I digress. I tend to over analyze such things. I just think it's interesting to think about.

Odd question, but... do you suppose that when Link went back in time, his other self still existed seven years in the future even in his (past Link's) timeline? Is it possible that that's how the Shade came to be, two Links existing in the same timeline at once?
