There's a sequence in 08th MS Team where Norris Packard seems to command his Gouf Custom by sheer will and it walks alongside him for a bit, rad scene but I can't seem to find a gif of it. Seeing as how Sakurai has mentioned Gundam before in regards to Samus, the suit drone thing works well enough for me.

Well, the Samus in Smash Bros still doesn't talk and just makes random noises. Perhaps it's actually an SA-X.

There was a planned entry in the Prime series of games where Samus was supposed to be able to build a robot that highly resembled her power suit. It was intended for co-op play.

That leads to complications in Brawl since her final smash turns her into the other, and vice versa.

...Unless they're both SA-X. Nightmare fueeeel.
